Hello to all,
Done an Urban Hike yet? Your parks are starting to bloom with flowers, ducks are swimming around, people are congregating to throw frisbees and walk their dogs. Get out there and find some stories and pictures. Join Urban Hike the World and show other Gatherers what you have found. I want to see them, too.
This installment isn't of beautiful places. Urban hiking can lead to the deserted, abandoned and just plain creepy parts of any city, town or village. Be careful, use your flashlight. There are interesting images to find.
Below are pictures from the shore of the Mississippi River. It is an abandoned river barge building from the 1960s. Wind has stripped parts of the roof away. Somebody was brave enough to go down a very rusty, barely connected to the brick wall ladder to tag the wall. No idea how deep the water is at the bottom.
