Or maybe everyone is just genuinely happy that someone out there won a prize for something they did.

I appreciate the kind words you have left for me and the congrats. As I already stated on Bob's picture, congratulations to him – the colors are and choice of content are amazing!

A restated congratulations to all that were in the top 20 – I am amazed at your work.

I hope to continue to capture magical moments in nature and continue to improve in photography. I have many wonderful "real" photographers who have encouraged me and will help to make me a better photographer.

Finally, thank you Gather for giving me and others the opportunity to share photography.

Congratulations to Lisa and Bob. I did find a camera for around $200 that I plan to buy next month which is similar, actually I don't know if it's the same one, but the pictures look good from it and it's a Kodak. At first I was thinking about getting a compact Olympus, but several "reviewers" didn't like the picture quality, which I have to question because they could be competitive reviewers who want money directed elsewhere, even by saying Sony is better. Cybershot I considered but it's still pricier than the Kodak I found. I hope the two of you enjoy the cameras if you need them. I plan on soon doing a photo journal of people and places for the novel I wrote, which I plan to format toward a screenplay.

Ian - we are giving our entire "camera package" to my husband's mother - she is 84 and has never had a digital camera. She loves taking pictures (often cutting off heads and such) - but we know she will really enjoy the camera and having her own printer. I am excited for her as she is always the one walking around at family gatherings taking pictures :)

Congrats Lisa and Bob....I want to see the shots. Can you pls share them???? Now days I am planning to visit California to enjoy various recreational activities like trekking, camping etc. I have heard that there one can enjoy Yosemite camping, Yosemite climbing etc. at the famous Yosemite National Park. Also at Lake Tahoe one could have a lot of adventure. While looking for the various tours on net I had come across an interesting tour on net: http://www.ekoventure.com/trips/28523 How do you find it???
