After scouring pages among pages of wedding magazines, internet websites and talking with other brides, I have come to the conclusion that flowers are just not for me. Flowers don't make my heart skip a beat if I receive them. They don't make me all warm and fuzzy inside. Flowers just don't do it for me. So what's a girl do when her big day comes of walking down the aisle and she doesn't like flowers?
The answer - a crystal bouquet. I saw pictures of these bouquets online one day and I knew that that was the bouquet I would carry down the aisle. The only problem is the price of these things!!! There's got to be a more economical way to make these bouquets and I'm asking you, my fellow gatherers if it is at all possible to make these bouquets for a lot cheaper that what you can buy them for. Also the crystal bouquets that I have seen, seem to lack something to them desipte their unique presence.

These are quite beautiful. I have never made one and must admit that I had never seen one before reading this. However, from the photo you supplied I can come up with a couple of theories as to how they are made, as well as the materials needed. Do you do any beading? Making this yourself would be the most effective way of bringing the cost down. Let me know if you want my theories. I will send them via e-mail and supply some possible sites to purchase the needed materials.
These do not look difficult to make, but the crystals get expensive. I'd be willing to bet there are instructions somewhere on the internet. Swarovski crystal is the most beautiful and sparkly, but also the most costly. If I were you I'd consider buying Chinese crystal with an AB finish, rather than Swarovski. I have some good mail order resources. The crystals are probably strung on craft wire (what gauge I don't know), which is inexpensive. Wrapping the final product with a fancy ribbon could jazz it up a bit. You might also want to talk to Sharon, who makes and posts photos of her beaded flowers here in Beaders Anonymous.
Good luck!
