Grocery Shopping and Saving...

I always use coupons and prefer store that take double coupons.

We tend to shop at two stores, both in town. I compare the ads each week and since they're very near to each other, we also save on gas that way, rather than going out of town to shop.
I use coupons, and also like Jenny, both of the stores we shop at double them. I wish they'd take the online printed coupons, as there are a LOT of those, but unfortunately due to coupon-fraud, nobody around here takes those. However, if you email the website/company that's offering the printable coupon, they will almost-always mail some to you. They want you to try their products.
Also, any freebie that I've signed up for and there are many, invariably come with coupons for use on actual purchases. Those are good too, and will give you many coupons to use, or on an actual freebie web site, to trade for some you really want instead.

We buy most of our groceries at Aldi's, which is a discount grocery that has good generic food for cheap prices. The store even sells fresh meats now. We watch grocery store ads and stock up on certain things when they come on sale. We also go to a smaller chain grocery to buy meats because it has a lot of good sales on meat.

We shop at Kroger's, and with their wonderful 10 for $10 sales, the Kroger discount card, our senior citizen discount AND coupons we save $60 on $200 food bill on average!

Flyer sales & if I have a cpn. I will use it.

I always make a menu for the week, then check the pantry for what I already have. I make a list of what I need. If I find something on sale, I get that if I need it. I also started only using a half pound of ground beef when I make chili or soup, instead of a whole pound. Tastes the same, costs less, not as much calories or fat!

I check the grocery store flyers on Sundays and Wednesdays, I use a price book, go to grocery stores that double coupons, and I use manufacturer's coupons, store coupons, and instant rebates the store gives.

I use www.thecouponmom.com it is a free website and it tells me what is on sale and what coupons to use and the cost of my items. I tend to clip all coupons even if I dont normally buy that product because you never know if it is going to end up being free or such a good deal you try it.

I'm learning (re-learning) and getting inspiration from articles here at gather. I do cut and save all coupons now, not just the ones I think I will use....been doing that for awhile now. I just signed up for the 4 week trial of the grocery game. So far I am not impressed but we will see what the next 2 weeks bring with it. Someone else told me about couponmom so since it's free I really should check it out before my trial is over.
