On wings of silver and gold
she now soars among the angels
Her stay was only a heart beat in time
yet her love will be everlasting
This small gift we called a treasure
memories of her we will cherish
On wings of silver and gold
she now soars among the angels
We tried to hold on too tightly
now we know it was not to be
Her song was brief and beautiful
now she sings in the heavens
On wings of silver and gold
she now soars among the angels
(I would like to dedicate this poem to my little sister, Kathleen and anyone else who has lost a child.)

"Her stay was only a heart beat in time" was such an outstanding line in this thoughtfully touching tribute.
It must have given your sister great comfort to read your poem! One thing my daughter and I really felt was the pain was that those around us didn't realize that she had lost a child. They knew she lost a baby, but they said "It was for the best and you need to get over it." Having a family member recognize your loss and honor your child with a poem is worth more than gold. God bless you for doing that for your sister! She's lucky to have you!
