In Newsday today, there was a picture of Rudy Giuliani in drag, I believe at a fundraiser or some such thing. As most of you know, I am a strong backer of Mitt Romney for president in 2008. However, I think the extent to which some will go to try to discolor someone's campaign is absurd. Sure, no one in their right mind thinks he is a transsexual, do they? And, if some did and thus became less likely to vote for him, you'd have to question their intelligence to begin with.
In my opinion, Mitt Romney is fully capable of and in fact will have victory next year based on his management prowess, conservative values/beliefs, and personal qualities -- neither he nor any other candidate needs to (or should want to) gain support because of something that was so clearly an attempt at humor.

Very glad to see the flip-flopping Romney had the worst showing in seven out of eight contests.

I've got to think NONE of the above will consider a VP spot, however, Rudy will make a fantastic Attorney General (make Gonzales look like worm food), and Mitt Romney will probably return to civilian life, but wouldn't he be a guy you'd want as an Ambassador to (insert any country here)?
