Ozark Awakening - Photo Essay

Jump in the auto and let’s head east.
 Leaving city behind, for Spring has released!
 Winding and curving the trail set before,
 Beckoning me toward the great Ozark door.

 

 

 

 

Quietly strolling the beauty abounds,
 Fluffy pink clouds do me surround.
 Look to the heavens at the splendor there,
Redbuds are bursting, none to compare

Journeying on, this walk I proceeded,
 Dilapidated bridge, its repair unheeded.
 Whispering murmurs of days gone by,
 Breathing statements of who and why.

 

 

Wandering onward my eyes did behold,
Masses of white as the dogwoods unfold.
 Perfectly patterned, His hands they do touch.
 The Ozark encounter, His blessings are much.

Turn around, turn around, oh, please not yet!
 Tis peaceful and tranquil, I turn with regret.
 “Come again soon.” Nature cries from afar.
 Hurrying homeward, toward my love in the car.

I can't believe you put together this poetry to go along with your wonderful photos. How creative! I enjoyed both very much. It was disappointing that some of your text got cut off on the right, though. I wonder why that happened...?
