Pocono Mountains in the Spring and Summer Photo Essay

Spring is almost here and I look forward to the many forms of life that Spring brings.  Among them are the frogs:

The Bull Frogs fill the pond at our Pocono Mountain home.  They sound like tubas playing in the band.

and the Green Frog too.

Some other animals we will see are,

Feral cats, this one is pregnant.  She comes by every weekend for a bowl of food.  I can't wait to see her kittens.

 The chipmunks at the pool, which are really hard to get a picture of

And of course the fawns

  We also get to see groundhogs but the picture isn't very clear.

I can't forget the flowers.  Mountain Laurel adds pink and white to the lush green of the mountains in the summer.

In July we can go swimming.  The water is still cold but refreshing.

We have a choice

Big Boulder Lake

How about a hike at the Walter E Francis Dam in Blakeslee, PA

Or walk along a stream     

and water sports on Lake Harmony is always fun...

Or maybe you would rather Golf.

And after all that fun, you need to relax and have something good to eat.

And go home and rest up to start over again tomorrow!

The Pocono Mountains is a resort for all seasons as you can see.
