My Grandmother passed away when I was 19 years old, and I loved her DEARLY. Her death was very, very difficult on me and I can tell you that not a day goes by without a thought of her in my mind.
When the time came to give things of hers away, I only asked for a few things. I asked for a black, cast iron monkey plant holder, a painting that my mom did that had always hung in my Grandma's dining room and some of her houseplants.
One of those houseplants was a hanging one, that was on a metal loop... but I wasn't able to figure out how to keep that one alive. Another one was a really neat Aloe Vera plant in a really nice asian inspired planter. Unfortunately, when I had a girlfriend and her children move in with me years ago, her daughter knocked it over and broke the planter. The Aloe Vera plant didn't make it either.
I have ONE plant left, and my mom is actually really surprised that it's still alive after all of these years. The problem is, I have no idea what it is. So, I'm asking all of you to help me figure this out, since you're always so good at these things.
Here are the pictures that I took 2 days ago. Thanks!

that is definitely a Scheffelera plant. We have one that was a gift to my husband's family in memory of his Grandma's life.
