Each player of this tag game starts by sharing 6 off-the-wall things about themselves. If you've been tagged then you'll need to write a short article listing your own 6 weird, unusual, or different things. The article should also clearly explain the rules of the game. At the end of the article, you will list the names of the next 6 people of your choice to be tagged.
Don’t forget to send an e-mail to notify your 6 people that they have been tagged and ask them to read your article, because I know from experience that if you just leave them a comment on one of their articles or images, it might get overlooked.
I was fortunate enough to get tagged 11 times, yikes. I'm still trying to decide if I am going to post a new list for each time I was tagged, but for now... I'll post my first list of 6 strange, weird, odd, different and/or unusual things about myself and go from there.
1) When I was in grade school, I went through a phase where all I would eat were bean and cheese burritos, the kind you'd have to microwave. I would microwave it in the morning though, and eat it cold at school. It was so bad that my 4th grade teacher falsely accused my mom of neglect.
2) I have a brother who is only 9.5 weeks younger than me because our mothers were pregnant at the same time by the same man.
3) Six years ago, my ex boyfriend pushed me out of his truck when he was driving. The worse part of this is that he told the paramedics I jumped out and was trying to kill myself before I was able to wake up to tell them the truth, so the paramedics and everyone at the hospital treated me really bad. They sent me home with gravel still stuck in my scalp and I had to go back a week later so they could fix the infections in my wounds.
4) I believe in aliens, ghosts and that people can have special powers.
5) I would pick Sushi over Pizza any day.
6) When I talk, people talk to me, or anytime I hear any words, I can see every single word in my head. It's like white letters on a black screen, with the sentences moving across a line, like a ticker.
I have been tagged by these people:

I need to choose my own 6 people to tag, but as far as I've figured out... I need to tag people who haven't been tagged yet, so I did a little research and have decided to tag these people:
Thank you everyone. I hope you enjoyed these 6 odd things about me. Have fun with this game!

#2 I wonder how the to ladies have taken this...
#4 i believe in their existence , somehow m not scared .
and #3 :- I am curious to know how you paid back that Guy once you were in a condition to do that
Here's the secret about aliens: if you figure out how to travel across vast amounts of space, then you have also figured out how to travel though time. (the Space-Time continuum) It is more likely that someone from our future came to visit us than someone from another world. The height of the visitations seems to have occurred in the 50's before the outbreak of a lot of new diseases (AIDS, Autism, etc.) I think they are trying to figure out why.
Good list, a solid 10. : )
How awful, #3...
I am also a strong believer in sushi
what happened to the boyfriend when the truth came out?
Has it been nice to have a sibling so close in age?
When I am alone talking to myself, I seem to be the only one talking back. It's very interesting what you say about people talking back to you.
It's been OK having a sibling so close in age, it's actually a really long story, but I might be able to give you a shortened version. First of all, his name is Forest. Like I said, our dad got my mom and Forest's mom pregnant at the same time. My mom ended up leaving him when she was pregnant with me, once she found out that he had gotten another woman pregnant (and some other issues. Issues that ultimately landed our father in and out of prison for a long time). I grew up not ever knowing my real father, but my mom married a wonderful man when I was 2 years old, and I've always known him as "dad" and have always called him "dad". So, I call my real father by his name, Ed. Ed ended up staying with my brothers mom for years and years and they also had another child, my sister Amber, but eventually split up. I actually didn't even meet Ed until I was in my early 20's and now that I know him, I love him dearly. I have met Forest and Amber, and we TRY to be a family, but it's just an odd situation. I definitely put out a lot more effort than they do. The sad thing is that since we were raised by different parents, I was raised to know that family is the #1 thing in your life, but they weren't raised that way. So, it's been odd. Ed and his wife (she is not Forest and Amber's mom) now live in the same town I do, and I see them about once a week. So, THAT is the shortened version!
That is so funny about what you said about being the only one talking back to yourself. I do think that being able to see words when people are saying them IS a pretty weird thing.
Thanks again for all of your questions!
Jen G: Great, I'm glad. Thanks for stopping by.
Deven L: Ha, that is really funny. You know, now that I think of it, I bet he has!!! Glad you like Sushi as much as I do and nothing really happened to my ex boyfriend after the truth came out. We had to go through a parenting study when we had our custody battle over our son, and at that time... he was still maintaining that I tried to kill myself. The truth was finally revealed in the reports from the parenting study counselor, and all of that just added to them deciding that I was the one "fit" to have our son full time, while he was the one who could only see him under supervised visits in a locked and guarded facility. So, it all worked out... but it was very stressful. His family of course still believes that he didn't do that to me.
Christina Pilkington: Haha, thanks. No, I've never thought about writing a novel. I don't know the 1st thing about writing, unfortunately. It sure would be nice, but I know it's a hard and long process and there are plenty of other people in this world that are much better than I could ever be. (like you!) Thanks though for saying that I have a lot of material. I am SO sorry to hear that you had a bad ex too, one that was abusive to you. No one deserves that and I feel bed for you. BUT, I am relieved to hear that you are with a wonderful man now!!!
d m: Thanks. Seeing words when people talk isn't really clarifying, it's more annoying than anything because it's hard for me to concentrate on things now because I have Fibromyalgia and am in a Fibro Fog most of the time. But, I've learned to deal with it. I've noticed that when I try to block it out, the words actually get BIGGER! I think #3 is awful too, but he got what he deserved.
David Smith: Why, thank you! I will TRY to make my next list a little more odd, since it looks like I didn't do a very good job on this one. The public wants me to be more odd!!!
Angela M: Thanks, and yes, I think I kind of got even with him in the way that I have full custody of our son and he hasn't seen him since he was 2. He could see him if he did a lot of court ordered things, like take domestic violence & drug/alcohol classes, but he's not willing to do any of those things, so legally he is not allowed to see him. Our son is much better off without him and my husband is a GREAT role model for him. HE knows him as his dad and doesn't even remember his real one now.
Carla S: Thank you. I'm sure I could have that arranged if you really wanted to! ;o) YES... I did break up with him, it took awhile... but it happened. I opened a bank account in secret and it took me 9 months of saving to get enough money to afford my own place, and then I was out of there!
amarpreet k: Thanks, and yes... there is much more to follow. I actually answered your questions in my response to Audrey (above), so I hope that helps a little. My mom ended up leaving my father once she found out and the other lady I think has always resented my mother, even though she was the one to get pregnant 1st. Who knows, life is weird like that. I also wrote some about my ex boyfriend to some other people (above), so that might help you too. I am happy you were interested enough to want to know more about the things I said. Thank you SO much!!!
amanda w: YES, I win! Haha... I'm only kidding. We are definitely 2 very unique individuals. Thanks for popping in to say hi!
Amanda "proud to be a size 14" C and Kathleen R: You are both so cool. Thanks and you're welcome.
Bonnie S: Thanks!!! :o)
carolyn koen: Ha, that is really funny! I do think it helped out when I worked for a cab company. Most of the drivers were from other countries and I was usually the only one in the office that could understand all of them, no matter where they were from.
Deb J: That is really funny that you type the words in your head and thanks... I love ya too! You are so lucky to get #1 on the highest rated article. I bet that put a thorn in the side of some of those serious writers who were boycotting Gather. I am happy I was able to help you out in that area.
Rushmore J: Looks like you know Amanda way too well. I really enjoyed what you wrote about the Space-Time continuum and it really DOES make sense. I knew I liked you for a reason. No, I'm not really close to my 9 week younger brother, but I did write about it (above) to Audrey, so if you'd like to read that one, you certainly can!
travis t & ~Connie~ C: Thanks!!!
Well - maybe except for the sushi over pizza thing. Sounds like a nasty combination to me ;o) I'd stick with cheese!
Thanks for answering my question about having a sibling your own age. I am glad that your mom remarried such a wonderful man who became your dad. I am also glad to hear that you have such a good relationship with your birth father, Ed.
The situation you describe in relation to Forest and Amber is very complex. It must be hard for you wanting a deeper relationship with them and their not being as eager. Perhaps their interest will develop as they get older.
That's cool that now Ed and his wife live in the same town as you so you can see them.
I'd have to agree with you. Seeing words when people say them is weird, but certainly intriguing!
Happy to oblige with the questions. I always like to know more about the people I meet, both on and off Gather. :)
Bridget ~ Proud stay at home mom ~ A: Haha... hey, wait a minute! I shouldn't be laughing at that, should I?
Anne Marie, lover of coffee & dark chocolate A: Ooh, I love dark chocolate too. Why don't you just make a trip to Oregon and we can do those things you want to do? I'd love to meet you.
Michael M: Thank you, Michael. Yes... there's a tiny bit of room left.
thanh n: Thanks!
julian three: "Apparently" sane? Haha. You don't know me too well yet, do you? ;o) Thanks for the comment!
Thanks for saying my word seeing thing is intriguing, I just think it's plain weird.
Yes, many incidents happened with my ex, even after the truck accident. It was a sad situation and I was stupid because I thought I loved him and of course felt like I was the one to blame when HE was abusing me. But, it's over now and all I can do is just move on.
Yes, my relationship with Forest and Amber is very complex, and all I want is to have a brother/sister relationship with both of them. It's hard on me because honestly, I can't figure it out. I hope as they get older, their interest will grow... just like you said. Thank you. I am happy I have a good relationship now with our father, but I think that my siblings might be jealous of that too. I never had to grow up with him like they did, and I just got a fresh & new start with him when I met him. I have a feeling that they feel like they "did their time" with him and it's not fair that I didn't have to.
Terry with the Afro on his head S: I know, I know... I'm a horrible person. How can you ever talk to me again???
Jenna S: Too bad you don't live in Oregon, we would probably hang out a lot. I was thinking we had a lot of similarities as well, and yes... I'd love to hear all about it. I am so happy that things are better for BOTH of us now. Talk with you soon.
Mariana T: That is crazy that you do that too!!! I also see all the punctuations. Very strange. Thanks!
1. That sounds like me. When I was in school, I would only eat pickle rolls (ham, cream cheese and a pickle) for lunch, a red hot beef/bean burrito after school and a frozen pizza at night. That's it.
2. Wow. I'm always amazed by things like this. Not a good amazement, I guess. But amazed, nonetheless.
3. Jesus, man. I haven't read the comments above, but did you get revenge on the SOB?
4. Me too.
5. DISGUSTING. I'd rather eat cow turds over sushi. Ok, that's a lie. But I really don't like it at all. =)
6. You are weird. Plain and simple.
Thanks for the list! Interesting things!
Space time travel can be fun, but its funner to do through other peoples nano electrical waves.....the things you can se... OH MY
2) Wow kinda cool, as long as you both get separate parties!
3) Son of a B****, I would've run him over
4) Makes sense, I'm definitely not from this planet
5) Um...um...That's just bizzare
6) Hmm, interesting
