Am I the only one that Gather is acting up for?

I was just bragging within the last couple of days that my Gather hasn't given me any trouble in awhile. I hope I didn't speak too soon, but I am having Gather troubles today. I am not able to respond to most articles/images and when I do it takes forever for my response to load. At times I am having to hit refresh like two and three times for each article/image. I have already restarted my computer and to no avail.

Am I the only one having this trouble?

Sometimes I jump out of the internet for a sec. then jump back in and I'm fine, I do have DSL.

I have dsl as well and sometimes I will find that I have issues with it going to fast but my browers times out. Internet explore is a good one for that and it is really slow so I tend to use Mozilla or one of the others that are offered becuase Internet explore dose have a lot of draw backs when trying to do something like this.

Today when I open an article, the rating stars aren't there until I hit refresh. I have had that problem with the comments every so often but not today. Isn't it weird how the problems occur to some people and then later to others??? I'm not paranoid but I KNOW there is someone out there trying to GET me!

not today so far but I haven't been on as much. We got a new computer and everything flys it is so cool to be in the 21st century. the old vacuum tube computer we had running took 5 hours to upload each sentence. haha

don't worry someone is out to get me too....unfortunately. I am not on gather for long somedays, so I need to get as much done as possible as fast as possible....and this slowing down of the system is getting my pressure up..LOL

It is very addictive. I am fortunate to have a hubby that is supportive of stay-at-home moms. I think I like the cyber world because I am quirky and some of the other moms think I am weird.
Congrads on your new computer...I know when I got my laptop and saw the speed this thing has compared to the desktop I was amazed, boy and did I get spoiled fast.
I don't think you are weird, I think you are too funny, but then again I am often called weird, so we must stick togehter...LOL

I should add we only have one car but it is paid for and don't ever take vacations so we live fairly modestly. so a new computer is a big deal

NO you are not stephanie. Almost everyday I have an issue.

Sometimes I see articles and no comments. I can leave stars, but not post a comment, or I can see the article type a comment but it won't post. OMG when will the fix this??

I have a cable modem and gather always seems to be slow. There are many times that I cannot rate an article and it takes forever to load my posts and/or comments.

Thank you all for making me feel better. I have also been getting some notices from Gather that things were being worked on and they were sorry for any inconvience. I didn't see any of you that mentioned these posted shut down times.
They would usually say that things were be back to normal at a certain time, and they were.
Anne, we also live very modest, have two vehicles which are well paid for, I shop sales, and try to keep costs low. We haven't ever been on vacation so to speak, but I am working on it this year hopefully if the funds can start to pick up.

I am so sorry that you have glitches everyday and here I am complaining about one lousy day of glitches, now I really feel bad...I hope for you the gather glitches are fixed soon.

Michelle, I hope with all the new gather updates, that one day things here at gather will be moving faster for you.
Leah, I am definitely with you on the nuts part. I go crazy when gather goes nuts, is there a such thing as a gather addiction?? LOL

Thanks lee for letting me know you were experiences problems as well. I didn't see any notices, just slow as heck to do anything, but now I am back up and running at full speed.

Gather hasn't worked for us for 3 days at all. Now we can get on Gather but we can't see any images. It's terribly frustrating!

it's acting strangely for me today - I can't keep an e-mail away from my inbox... and although I see my posts as soon as they're accepted into the system, they disappear later.
Just to keep it interesting, I guess.
