"O" Is For Opossum
"O" is for Omnivore; possums eat almost everything you can stuff into a garbage can.
"P" is for Pink, the color of possum feet, noses, and tails. It's also for Prehensile, because possums have prehensile tails.
"O" is for Old. Possums have been around for about 70 million years.
"S" is for Stink. Possums don't normally stink, but if threatened by a predator, they'll let off a rotten meat smell from their anal gland so that they're unattractive as food.
"S" is for Swim. Did you know that possums swim as well as dogs do?
"U" is for Upside Down - opossums can hang upside down from tree limbs by their strong prehensile tails.
"M" is for Marsupial. Opposums are the only Marsupials indigenous to the North American continent.
