And...What Did You Do Today?

Today we did baseball, baseball, and more baseball! LOL I also went to the Trade Days on the Court House Square that our town holds every month. My daddy came and bought me some pretty great stuff! I loved the spoilin' as much as the stuff! lol

Miz Krissy, I'm so glad your daddy spoiled you - you need spoiling once in a while and glad that you were able to enjoy your kids...what a beautiful life. I hope you're feeling better! Salud.

That's my favorite kind of incense! I have some here too. Sounds like you had a great and relaxing day. I put a story about my day online already. I spent the morning and early afternoon working on my new website, then took a walk downtown, then came home and watched Moby Dick, the classic movie, with my boyfriend.

Very nice, it sounds like my kind of day. Our day was spent relaxing around the house and going out to do a little bit of shopping. It has been raining here for about 20 days now off and on. The beautiful thing was seeing ta beautiful double rainbow hang in the sky.

My day ended before you posted your day. Yesterday I was up at 5 and fed my kitties and my dog, brewed some Starbucks coffee, and by the time it was ready had my coat on and took Tucker for a quick walk. It appeared that it was going to be a spectacular day...temperature was in the 50's. Checked into Gather and wrote a few comments and by that time my cousin Terry (He was my older cousin in my article "Growing Up in the Fifties that organized our play) was at the window peering in as he knocked on the glass. Every Saturday morn at 7:30, Terry and his partner Gino come to bring me out to breakfast...Papa Bear likes to sleep in late in the morning and rarely comes. We have several different breakfat places but yesterday we chose to go to Middleboro, home to the real Tom Thumb. After a hearty meal we went over to the Pratt Farm, a conservation parcel, for a long hike.
Home by 10...who do I see working in the sunshine in his flannel pajamas but Papa! He's raking my gardens that are close to the house. When I question him why he's in his pajamas, he smiles and tells me the sun woke him up and the day was too beautiful to take the time to shower and get dressed. He is an odd guy...but that's what I like about him!
In the afternoon, we dress in our finery and attend a wedding for one of Aaron's friends. It was fun seeing all the young men who used to call our home theirs when they were growing up. By 6, we were home again. I checked Gather and then took Tuck for a stroll. To my surprise, as I walked, snow started falling...damn, I thought Spring had arrived today! Ran to the store and picked up a few ingredients for kale soup, came home, read my latest book, checked Gather again and off to bed. That was my day.

I actually stayed off gather most of the day and went to dinner with my family last eve. And I didn't get any Gather withdrawals. It's about 8:30am EDT right now and I'm back on Gather, and ready to do some reading, writing, and commenting. You know, some of the usual symptoms when feeding my addiction. You have a great one too.

Mariana - I enjoyed this little peek into your day - sounds like the perfect way to combat days that are the color of whales (love that line!). As for me, yesterday was a work day, a take care of my honey who has come down with strep throat day, a make a big pot of turkey soup day, and a play a little on Gather day. Who knows what today will bring.

That sounds like a wonderful relaxing day, Mariana - it was foggy here in Minneapolis. Was on the computer a bit early morning, then gathered the laundry, fixed a huge breakfast and by 11:00 we headed to the movie theater where we watched the live performance of the NY Metropolitan Opera ("The Barber of Seville"). It was heavenly, just wonderful (and two theaters were packed, sold out) - it's the third Met opera that we've attended in the movie theater, and I hope they increase the number of operas as well as the number of movie theaters next season. On our way home we stopped at the grocery store for fresh produce, then at home fixed Jay's famous New Mexican flat enchiladas with his yummy NM chile sauce and a fried egg on the top. Watched a movie, ate chocolate for dessert, checked Gather, slept like a baby all night. Shopping today!

Sounds nice Mariana! My husband is in Sacramento with his photojournalism students, so I'm here with the dogs, cats, birds, fish, and my garden. It was gloomy, so didn't go outside much, other than to peek at the seedlings and see how they were faring. Leisurely picked up the house after myself, checked in at all my computer forums once in awhile.Then around noon I took a three way conference call with gather member David L's father who wrote the book about my friend's ghosttown, and the grandson of the man who was the mining bigwig at the ghosttown in the early 1900's. Exciting history and research going on between the three of us!

In the midst of the phone call my son came in with my middle dog Sadie, who now lives with im because Maggie Ho Dog wished her away. Big party at his house so he figured it would be less stressful for Sadie to come stay with me. Maggie was pissed because she couldn't come be with me and had to stay in her yard, but Sadie and I spent a delightful day together. She sat at my feet while I was at my rocker reading an Owens Valley history book, and she laid on the bed while I was at my computer checking in here. I shared the bread from my dinner sandwich with her, then we watched a little tv in the family room together, and it was time to go to bed.

This morning Sadie & I woke up to blue skies and hopefully warmer weather. Maggie scowled at us when I let Sadie out to go potty in my garden. Then I fixed myself some wheat and honey pancakes and strong coffee, and read the newspapers, after feeding the cats, of course. Sadie felt neglected while I read the paper, and started acting like she was looking for my son. I gave her some attention, then checked in here to say hi to you.

Lovely day, Mariana! Yesterday I went to the beautician's with my mom, got a trim, did lunch at Panera's, picked up some paint chips from Lowe's to think about for my bathroom and the 3 other walls in my bedroom. Went to my sister's for a most awesome dinner with her, my niece and my parents, and then came home this morning. Today, I'm musing about picking up the paints and moving the canvas outside to do some stress relief.

Good heavens, the gray whale extended clear to Spokane, WA! I had hoped to work outside this weekend but no such luck. Sounds like you had a fun day! My daughter came over and worked on my computer for a couple hours yesterday.

It was the first Saturday in a while that my son in law didn't have to work. He took one of my grandsons to the district Pinewood Derby races. Jacob said he came in 99th out of 102! But at least, he had made his entire race car himself and he had made it to the district races! My son in law has been wanting to go out to dinner to celebrate his new job so in the evening we did that.

Today I have been on Gather. I finally learned how to download my pix so that I can have pix of my grandkids here. And also my granddog, Buddy!

I raked more leaves, burned some, threw away things that had been holding me back. And dealt with my own internal 'color of whale' as best I could. (Mine is more 'black dog' than Grey whale....).

Mariana~ How I wish I could spend some time with you...I know I would have a blast!!! I had a few hours, so I cleaned out the chicken coops, and chopped some more ice out of the driveway!!! I think hubby and I got it all now...so I'm happy!!! I went to the store to get some unbleached flour so I can make a homemade birthday cake this week!!! Got all my chores done and took a few hours nap before work!!! I'm heading out in 1 1/2 hrs....I will think of you while moongazing:) Have fun for the both of us!!!

Miz Debbie - thank you - I wish you could too - we wouldn't do any work that's for sure. I'm glad you got the ice out of the driveway. I don't know how in the world you find time to do everything that you do. You amaze me! I moongazed last night - the night was clear and the moon is an upside down crescent! We piles some leaves from a neighbors to take down to the waste place. They only come up for weekends and I hated for them to waste their time doing that plus they don't have a truck. How do people exist without a truck? Have a great evening out on the open waters! Salud.

I loaded the family in the car, and we drove to Concord NC, the the Concord Mills Mall, which is right across the highway from Charlotte Motor Speedway. They were having a huge boat show at the Bass Pro Shop, and we looked around for a while and bought some things we needed(wanted). We had lunch at TGIFridays, and walked the mall the rest of the day, I mainly went to the Nascar speed zone and rode gocarts and played in the simulators. A great day with the family.

What did I do today!!!! Oh baby you don't want to know. You seriously asking me WHAT DID I DO TODAY?...
First of all it's none of your business but since you asked, I'll tell ya.
I won't tell you now, but I will soon.

After I'm done saying what I want to say. It could take 5 minutes or it could take an hour. How badly do you want to know what I did today?
I figure you really want to know because why else would you post an article like this if you didn't want to know what I did today.
My day is not your typical day and it's not often that I'm asked what did I do today.
Since you want to know so badly, I better start telling you what I did today before I forget - but before I do I need to scratch my nose. Ahh that's better (don't you hate that when your busy doing something and your nose starts itching? you don't want to scratch it because then you have to stop what your doing but if you don't scratch it, it will drive you nuts. I tried fighting it as long as I could but I couldn't' take it anymore so I scratched.
Now I don't know where I left off?... I think it had something to do with What did I do today. I'm sure it's not What did I do Yesterday (who cares now) or What did I do Tomorrow (if I knew that right now, I'd sure as hell would freak people out)
I'm going out on a limb here and say you want to know What did I do Today (I hope I'm right)
