Many people I know don't love drinking water but wish they could drink more of it. Personally, I love water. I typically drink 60-80 oz. a day. I like the idea of flavoured water, but the few commercial products I've tried I really don't like. Then I thought, maybe I'll try my own version of flavoured water. I bought some peppermint extract from Herb Pharm (you should be able to find it in most natural markets) and add about a half of a dropper into 16 oz. of water. It's delicious! It makes a nice change from non-flavoured water and gives me a little pep when I don't want to drink caffeine (I almost never drink caffeine now). I've told 2 people who don't like drinking a lot of water about this idea, and they've said it helps them drink more water. So I just wanted to let all you Gather people know about this in case you're looking for a way to drink more water and don't like those commercial flavoured water products.

I have been in the hospital twice for dehydration, so trust me re: the title of my response. I drink over a gallon of water a day, and I don't include the 2/3 cups of coffee I have in that equation. Also keep in mind your electrolyte level when you begin to drink alot of water.
