Round 1 of the First Chapters Writing Competition will soon be coming to a close. I have been RRCing (read, rate comment) as many as I can, but as a slow reader—particularly on a computer monitor—there is no way I can find the time to look at the hundreds of submissions entered. Many I haven’t read have already been removed, so I’ll never see them. When it comes time to RRC the second and third chapters for Rounds 2 and 3, I’m afraid some story information and momentum will be lost because I missed the previous ones, so I wouldn't be able to judge them fairly.
Once the finalists for Rounds 2 and 3 have been decided, can the administrator repost the previous chapters of the finalists as well as the progressive chapters? Naturally, RRCs on the revived earlier chapters would be disregarded as far as the competition is concerned, but it would be helpful to be able to review them again as a point of reference.
UPDATE, 28 March 2007
I received a private email from the First Chapters Administrator yesterday and they're going to do it! At least for Round 2.
