I usually try and make alerts as soon as there is an injustice done upon our precious babies. Some of you know, some of you dont...I had my own battles with a sex offender who was the manager of my mobile home park whom has since been arrested on violation of probation charges because he failed to provide his employment.....Durn, wonder who turned him in...Yeah it was me!
Sex offenders lurk everywhere people and we all know we must be careful and stay alert on the issues and do our jobs to protect our children by having our voices heard. This is why I write this article.
One day I was watching the Montel Williams Show in which they were discussing sex offenders and a lady named Judy Cornett who is a victim's advocate was making a plea for community involvement and left contact information. Ever since then, I have actively participated in any campaign I can. So, here is goes..

Perhaps I am the first male to respond here.
Believe me most men think like me, and wish to beat the life out of perverts of every type who think the female form is nothing more than a commodity that can be mauled and maltreated for men's own pleasure.
It's heart-warming to see that an organized effort has been mooted, and I wish you and all the other angelic ladies who seem to be pushing this effort with all their might, good luck. I will certainly keep track of all these efforts -and let us indeed put a control on all this anti-human nonsense.
In my city of Pune, in India, there are something like 300 houses in the very heart of the city where human trafficking in minor girls has been thriving. I have no idea about the myths and misconceptions in your society but out here, most of the perverts who pay money to be able to molest and torture a little girl suffer from a horrid fallacy -that if you are suffering from AIDS, it can be cured by deflowering a virgin. What could be more disgusting, sub-human and anti-society than this sort of thinking? This trade here is so well organized that troops of girls are smuggled in from neighboring countries, and the real culprits remain in their shadowy world, as the cops are not able to trace the real owners of the brothels or the house either.
God help us.

This sickens me to see complete scumbags like this. I looked at the homepage of that site, and it looks all sweet and cutesie, pink and flowers. Under the FAQ is asks for submissions from people and talks about pedophelia being misunderstood... I was so angry just looking over that. The only way to really put a stop to it is for an investigator to get a real world address, and physically apprehend the people putting it out there. Otherwise another site will spring up and the subscribers will be notified of the new address.
A better way to end it is to castrate all sex offenders that have pedophile charges and convictions...

Please, people, don't ignore this because it is ONLY one instance. One example. You have to start somewhere! If you don't act, you're giving those perverts control over you too! They love passiveness! FIGHT! WRITE! NOW!

What the police or FBI or whoever can do is watch the site, or try to get inside and see if they can catch any of the men they find there trying to meet children or arrange meetings etc. for others. Of course this is a big deal, because they are able to stop the men if the do this and put in the effort that is needed to do so. They can save children everywhere, and hopefully writing to the places above will help show that they need to put forth such an effort.

HOWEVER, without seeing those sites, I can tell you that the people who do those things to children are sick, demented, not even close to normal, and should be totally removed from society.
Any man who has sex with a child, (male or female) should suffer public castration, and then be locked away. There is NO excuse good enough for their behavour, and no punishment that will cure them!
I just got one of those "a sex offender has moved into your neighborhood" cards in the mail. He's listed as high risk! High risk! My question is if he's high risk, why the hell is he out and living in my neighborhood?
Michelle W, what you are doing is important. Where we lived before, the moms got the bus stop moved because we had to walk our kids past three homes with registered offenders in them to get them to the old bus stop.

It is true and thank goodness there is no porn. However the only thing that they could say is that it is within thier rights due to freedom of speech which by definition os "to express information,ideas, and opinions free of government restrictions" But there are still restrictions on what we are allowed to speak publicly about . ....such as things that may pose a risk or threat to safety or to other public interests that is serious and imminent.
I consider this to be a threat of safety. We dont know where they are. We dont know WHO they are....that is dangerous.

Personally I agree with whoever say a bullet only cost 22 cents. If this happened to my child, the person would not make it to trial. I don't believe our justice system gives the proper justice in these cases. We would make sure justice was served.

I'm sorry but people like that can't be rehabilitated. They have a compulshion. Honestly, who can say even if it would work for a few months that it wouldn't just take one time for them to get hooked on something again and hurt some innocent child. We have always been super cautious with our kids they don't go to day care, they don't g to a babysitter. They are only left with my mom or one of my sisters because we all have had such a fear of this. The fear was greater with my daughter, because she is so angelic looking. She has curly blonde ringlets and big blue eyes, and so many times we have heard of this being what freaks that abuse and sell kids look for in a child to steal. MYself and my husband and my family would be willing to kill over my children if one of theses freaks touch them.

Thank you for your incredible article and powerful commitment to combat these people who prey on the innocent. I am sick to the core about these websites, and how they are allowed to stay open astound me. These people are sick. I pity them. Where can they get help? Locking them up means they will get out and do it all over again. There has to be something that can be done to actuallly rehabilitate their behaviour. There must also be a place where men who have this desire can go, so as to not prey on children. They know they are sick and need help, but probably fear persecution if they admit to their desires. Before they get a chance to act, they need to have a place where they can go for help, before they destroy the lives of innocents and their own.
I very much appreciate what you are doing and shining a searchlight on these people and the websites.
Recently I had the experience of reading in a forum about a very intelligent show on television and I noticed that one woman in the forum invited people to read her fanfic slash fiction, I think it is called. I've seen a lot of abnormal behaviour, but was not prepared for what I read when I clicked on the link to her page.
On her fanfic web page there are stories she has written about the male characters who are the leads on the television series. However the straight characters are now involved in two way and three way gay activities. I'm trying to be nice here. The writing is excellent and very detailed and extremely disgusting to read. There was only a mild warning next to each story.... like mildly explicit or explicit, etc. But as far as I can tell there is nothing to keep any age child, whether a boy or a girl out of this type of website. They might even be a fan of the show and accidentally click on the same link as I did. This also goes beyond sex into S&M. This really can be dangerous, because the depictions are so vivid they could cause some people nightmares. But the worst would be that children might think it is normal and believe that those characters and the actors protraying them would actually do and say such things.
I sincerely believe the author of these stories is also mentally ill in that they are conjuring up harmful situations. Certainly I agree with you, MiG, that these people need help. But even when the individuals perpetrating such heinous acts understand that it is wrong (not all of them do), it is very difficult to rehabilitate them so far. There is a strong effort in this direction and we can only hope that answers to preventing these things will be found.
That is why Bonnie's efforts are to be commended. We need to do everything we can to help in the prevention and above all protect our children and all children and young people.
