Still a Minnesota girl at heart!

I was born and raised in MN...North Minneapolis to be exact. I was born in the Swedish Hospital in 1948. I went to grade school at Lowell School, Jr. High at Jordan and graduated from North High School in 1966! None of the schools I went to are still standing, along with the house I was raised in on Knox and West Broadway, all gone!  That makes me sad, in a way that part of my past is gone!    I still have relatives scattered all over the state, from Northern Minnesota to Minneapolis and beyond.   My sister lives in Columbia Heights and my nieces and nephews are all in Minnesota.  My husband, our 2 children and I moved to CA in 1970. Some times I think if I didn't have my family and 4 native Californian grandkids here I'd move back there and put my roots down again!   I think the older I'm getting the more I'm missing Minnesota.  It's funny I've lived more of my life out here in CA than I did in MN, but I was born there, so I guess I'm still a Minnesota girl at heart.  I really miss the snow during the holidays.   I still haven't gotten used to the "green Christmas' out here in CA.  I mean Christmas without snow.......come on! LOL.... Even though I don't live in MN any longer I hope I can still post my photos here in the Minneosta group because after all I am still a Minneosta girl at heart!
