As most of you know, I've been posting a point tally every day now for the past week or so, ever since I accepted Heather's invitation to her group. I've also been opening up the article to some questions that I have for all of you, and I want to send out a huge THANK YOU to anyone and everyone that has been commenting and rating my article. This is purely for fun.
1) Today I have 6801 points. Yesterday when I posted my Point Check In at about 4:00 pm Pacific time, I had 6588 points. This means I've earned 213 points in 20 hours.
2) I'm still saving up for the $500 Vacation Outlet gift certificate & went to their website and found some pretty neat deals!
3) I have 5 group invites today & 1 connection request.
My husband and I need an excuse to celebrate our 2 year anniversary coming up on May 5th. That's right, we got married on 05/05/05, a very easy date to remember. We were married in Las Vegas on the observation deck at the Stratosphere Casino. I'd like to be able to show my husband something substantial for my efforts on here, something we can both enjoy, and I'd love to go back to Vegas.
These are my totally random questions
1) What are your top 3 favorite websites to visit?
2) How many children do you have?
3) Do you have a vice?
~ Faith
These articles have been inspired by Heather T's group, "Daily Point Check In". You can find that group here: http://pointcheck.gather.com/ and you can post your own Daily Point Check In!

Three children
One vice, smoking.
Nana: Nah, don't be jealous. I'm a SAHM so I probably have more time to spend on here than you do, right? Thanks for answering my question about your children. How old are they now? I figured I'd start asking some different types of questions in my articles. I have a LOT of websites that I visit too, way too many to list... so it was hard to come up with my 3 favorites.
Trish B: Hi there. You should start posting your own tally each day. It's been a lot of fun for me to do. Before, Wendy F and I would talk on MSN/Windows Live messenger (you can find me there by adding mrs_branson555@hotmail.com to your list) and keep track of our points through there. It was a lot of fun to do that, but posting these articles lets more people contribute.
Kathleen R: Congrats on your points and thanks for stopping in. I LOVE mypoints too! How come you said you might not be with Gather for much longer? I really like you and want you to stay! I haven't tried Pogo, but I am sure I'm signed up. What should I do there? I am SO sorry to hear about your daughter! It's ok that you smoke, we all have to have our vices. Have you ever tried to quit or do you want to?

Sharan B: You are so lucky to get massages from your husband! So, no children yet, but are you planning on having any? That's kind of a personal question, sorry - you don't have to answer that one if you don't want to. :o)
Eileen W: Hey, great job - you should get that Home Depot card pretty darn quick!
3 kids 2boys 1 girl. But only the youngest lives with me. the other two live 5 mile down the road....long long long story
caffeine, food, internet, lazyiness
Children: 4 boys, 32, 20, 16, 14
Vices: Many. The worst is smoking. Don't drink.
Too ashamed to share my points with you, I am technology depraved so getting on the internet and being able to do much on Gather is very time consuming. Alas, as my children would say "It's okay Mom". Teh hee.
Have a great week
1) What are your top 3 favorite websites to visit?
Gather, Moola, and netwinner. I also use yahoo for my email.
2) How many children do you have?
4 children here. 9 yo girl, 4 yo girl, 2 yo boy, and 5 month girl. I sometimes feel sorry for my son. When they are older he is so outnumbered....
3) Do you have a vice?
Smoking, soda, computer, I have many.
1) What are your top 3 favorite websites to visit?
Right now it's 1) CNBC's Million Dollar Portfolio Challenge, 2) the National League of Poker's free Texas Holdem site for cash prizes and 3) Gather.com's "My Gather" page (to check my point totals ; ). Contact me if you're interested in any of the above, and I'll send you an evite.
I visit many other sites during the day for researching my articles, but these are ones where I check back on a regular basis.
2) How many children do you have?
Zero, and holding ... for now.
3) Do you have a vice?
I love a glass of wine, or two, or three, at the end of a (sometimes not so) long day. And I guess some people would call poker a vice, but since I play for free I don't think it counts.
1) Gather of course, ebay, and Yahoo
2) 2 grown daughers (Jamy and Amber)
3) Gather, Cigs, Pepsi, Zuma!!!!!
1) google.com, wikipedia.org (both for 'instant research'), and ... I don't really have a third favorite, yet.
2) Three. Wanna buy one? ::ducks::
3) I'm a workaholic dreamer who likes video games.
My top three favorite web sites to visit are amw.com and this site and foxnews.com.
My vice would have to be (I know that this sounds weird) cheese.
Gather, of course
amazon
and my local group for freecycle, never know what you are going to find for free!
2) How many children do you have?
just 1, she is 20 months
3) Do you have a vice?
unfortunately, I smoke but I hope to save up some cash for my prescription of Chantix, my insurance will not cover it :(
At least I'm efficient!
I have 2.5 children (don't ask!): Shay is 21 (she's the 05! lol), Kolten is 12 and Klayten is 7
Okay lets figure this out:
Currently now at 9:40 AM I have 4433 gather points....
I have already cashed out for two gift cards that cost a total of 3130 gather points ( it was for 2 $25 Barnes And Noble Gift Cards which were 1565 gather points each...
So for a grand total I have earned 7563 points since I have joined gather...
So 7 hours and 37 minutes I have bumped up 52 points... :)
So 7 hours and 37 minutes I have bumped up 52 points... :)
It is now currently 11:26 AM on Friday March 16th, 2007 and my new gather point total is a lovely 4625. Which means in 9 hours I have moved up a grand total of 97 points.
Which averages out to be about 10.8 points an hour... I am not doing to bad today... For once.. :)
So I check my current standings with what my Gather Point Tally is... And it is: 4750 points. Not bad...
So in almost 11 hours I earned another lovely 125 points... Nice go me...
So since this morning 2:22 AM I have earned today a whopping 222 points today... Not bad at all.. Go me... :)
Go me... :)
oh I am earning these points I tell you... I swear my springbreak became me being at gather's side every dang day... :/
But in 24 hours I did under 100 points... Grr... I slacked yesterday... Need to make up for them...
I am currently at a total of 5076 gather points since my last check in. So I have gone up 163 points in those 17 hours, so my average points per hour has dropped to about 9.6 an hour.
But at the same time since I have been checking in on my points from March 15, 2007 at 2:32 AM EST where I had 4403 points, in 3 days and 21 hours (93 hours total) almost I have bumped up a total 673 points, which is about a 7.3 points per hour gain...
So in reality you really need about a 4.2 points per average to make the 3000 points a month... and I am slightly above that so thats not too bad, right????
It is now 3:27 AM EST March 19, 2007 and my newest point tally is a lovely grand total of 5120 gather points... So since the last update I have gone up 11 points... Not too bad still... Still above 10 points an hour... Kind of makes up for any time I sleep or am away from the comp... :)
It is now 11:35 AM EST March 19, 2007 and my newest point tally is a lovely grand total of 5130 gather points... So since my last update I have gone up 10 points, Maybe I shouldnt sleep than...
It is now 5:47 AM EST March 20, 2007 and my newest point tally is a lovely grand total of 5174 gather points... So since my last update I have gone up 44 points, Maybe I shouldnt sleep than... No now it is for sure I should not sleep... That just totally bite on my point increase for yesterday... I am sadden... Though just waking up...
It is now 7:13 AM EST March 20, 2007 and my newest point tally is a lovely grand total of 5189 gather points... So since my last update I have gone up 15 points, too bad I have to go to school for most of the day... I guess this balances out my super pointing from the weekend... :(
It is now 9:10 AM EST March 20, 2007 and my newest point tally is a lovely grand total of 5190 gather points... So since my last update I have gone up 1 point.
Now its time to take a shower and get ready for my long day at college...
Jennifer D. Meacham: GREAT, I am so happy to help you out a little. I sent a few more comments your way, so I hope it gave you a few more points.
Kate S: I LOVE freecycle. I use it more for giving stuff away though. Congrats on your baby girl! Good luck saving up for your Chantix prescription. That is really too bad that insurance doesn't cover it. I know a LOT of health (and even dental) insurance programs love to cover smoking cessation programs, so I'm sorry to hear that. I have actually never heard of that specific prescription before.
Austin Cushing: Yes, at least you're efficient! I can understand why you wouldn't want a Wii yet, until they have games you'll actually want to play. Zelda sure is fun though! You're right about Gather. The glitches have got to go!
Michael M: Hi there. I bet your niese IS bright and beautiful! Yes, you should get on ebay and sell some of those books!
Wendy F: "more specifically chocolate" - haha, that is funny.
Girl In Training: I used to have Netflix, but switched to Blockbuster because they used to give out coupons for free movies in the store. Now they changed and you can bring your movies in to the store instead of mailing them and trade them for a free movie right there. It's really a neat program for only $9.99 month. I love your son's name!
Annette E: Wow... you have a lot of children! That is so neat that you're a foster parent!!!
Julie "Counting Down The Days" Laughlin: Hello again. You day is coming up quick, isn't it? Yes... having 2 kids live 5 miles down the road really does seem like that would be a long story. Have you posted it on Gather yet and if so, can you direct me to it?
Amanda C: THIS is my vice too!
Carolyn B: No, you shouldn't be ashamed! And besides, It's OK mom. Heehee! :o)
Shawnee T: I really, really need to check out Moola. I love what you said about your son - poor guy!
Louise M: What is webshots? I'll have to go check that one out.
David Smith: Yep, I really have too many vices to list as well. Congrats on your kids and your points!
Rob Appell: "Is a vice really a vice when it's something we enjoy?" - you know, that is a very good question!!!
Bridget ~ Proud SAHM ~ A: Thanks so much and that is really funny about Ebay. Better get to selling some more. ;o)
Jennifer D. Meacham: Oh my gosh, your wine comment is really cracking me up. I can see you in front of your computer, playing poker with 3 empty wine glasses in front of you. "Zero, and holding... for now" is really making me laugh too, you are too cute. I hope you get that gc soon.
Lynn R: Oh my word, I love Zuma! I was able to get to the 9th level, but just can't pass it! Congrats on the points.
Whoops... I just noticed that Bridget and bhumika snuck back in here...
bhumika: I will have to go check out those websites, thank you! I hope you get that new book soon!
Earnings: 1,331 Gather Points™
That's 16 more than last night. Whoo hoo!!!
#1....foxnews.com (I never have time to read the paper so this keeps me up on the news...somewhat anyway!)
....fatwallet.com (I'm a bargain waiting to happen person and like to get "deals" whenever I can!)
...and gather (NATCH!) because I like to chat with new people and old friends plus there are some darn good recipes and jokes on this site! :-D
I'm happy with two kids, I'm a firm believer that kids should never outnumber their parents!
....do GODIVA chocolates, a garbage novel and a dish of chocolate peanut butter ice cream count?!? If so, there's my big three! After my last child ruined my chance at being a centerfold for playboy, I figured "what the heck, enjoy!" :-D
Felicia...how are your classes going this term? you haven't written me in awhile and you KNOW how much I worry! :-D
And it's 5:15 pm!
I'm outta here for the night! Hubby will be home any minute and it's our anniversary!
Your marriage will be long and wonderful I hope, but divorce him if he forgets your anniverary! Maybe even shoot him, LOL!
I have one point.
Okay it is now 10:00 PM EST on March 21st, 2007 and my current grand total of the gather points I have is now 5245 gather points... Yea I havent increased much since my last posting... So now with my 4 days off from school it is time to kick some major gather point butt... :)
