We found this baby bat just laying there on the sidewalk at my parent's house in Sicily were we vacation once a year, it showed some signs of life so we all thought there was still hope to save this helpless creature, at first we hesitated on deciding what to do with it then after a long debate among all of us (about 10 family members that were there visiting) finally my sister took control of the situation suggesting to place him in the highest spot on the house which was the chimney stack of our fireplace were it had a flat roof on it,
then my brother in law got enough courage and volunteered to carry the bat in so much need of it's mom to the top of the roof were we all hoped that the mommy bat would soon come and rescue it's baby, our mission was accomplished when the next day we observed that the baby bat was gone, assuming that his mother came to take him finally to a save place.
We all felt that we accomplished a good deed by saving his life.
Did you ever save a life...?
Please feel free to post any rescue story like this one so we can all share the great feeling of promoting life.
