Have you heard -it's official "Back to the Future" is closing

Yes it is true "Back to the Future -the ride" is closing at Universal Studios.

It's last day is 03/31/07. ;-(

 

In a way I am kind of sad to see it close, as I did like the ride.

 

The last time my husband and I rode it in October 2006, it seemed to be a little rough, more so than other times.

 

My husband & I thought the reason was, the ride could have been rougher than normal was -maybe it was -  due for rehab.  

 

As we exicited the ride people in front and in back of us (as we walked out) were complaing the ride was very rough.  

How did you like this ride? Did you find it rough?

There are many rumours as to what attraction will be put in it's place, I'll let you know as soon as I find out.

Nobody cried when the Battlestar Galactica ride closed. I wonder what they did with the Cylon costumes? Wouldn't it be great to go as a retroCylon for Halloween?

No but I did shed a tear when Kong closed.

Yes that would be cool for Halloween.

We went on this ride when my son was about 5. He absolutely hated it. I can't say I liked it much better. We were put in a car with a rather hefty lady. Therefore, the bar did not come anywhere near my son, allowing him to flop around quite violently. I don't know if they had changed how that worked since then, but when we went it was really rough. (My son is now 14, so it's been awhile!)

Teresa the lap-bar that hold's riders in has not changed at all, so like you said if put in with a hefty person a child sitting next to them would get tossed around, since the lap-bar could not be pulled down to child's level. It was a good ride that seemed to get rougher as it aged.
