Happy St. Patrick's Day, Gather!
On St. Patrick's Day, whether Irish or not, many writers will be tempted to put aside their work to patron the Irish pubs and dip into green beer and Guinness. Don't be disheartened. Remember what Irish novelist James Joyce said: "Irresponsibility is part of the pleasure of all art."

the food of Irish kings!
In the old days the artists, musicians and writers were sponsored by rich families, now it's sponsoring through scholarships, stipends, fellowships in which universities and sponsors from the economic sector help writers, poets, artists and musicians. Can creativity be schooled? What we learn at schools, seminars, workshops are how to use the tools and techniques, but creativeness is something individual, eine Begabung, which one has in one's genes. James Joyce was one such creative writer.
