A Gather First - Merlin the Siamese Cat Writes Article and Starts His Own Group

            It all started innocently enough. My human, Layla likes taking photos of me. I indulge her occasionally and they end up posted on Gather. Sometimes they even get to be #1. That’s when things started to go to my head. I know I’m a handsome cat but I wanted more. I wanted to be a star. A Gather Star. I had some adoring fans but I wanted more so here I am pandering to you.

  There is so much about me you don’t know so let’s start with;

Ten Things You Don’t Know About ME.

1) My birth date is October 2, 1994. I will be 13 this year and I think I look very good for my age. There are photos of my last birthday party in Layla’s content.

2) I live with my two humans. Layla, her husband J. and my fur sister Coco in a spacious three story home in Westchester County New York.

3) I begrudgingly accept the feral cats that live in comfy nests on the porch.

4) I resent the special meals Layla feeds them and their stupid drug names; Ambien , Lunesta, Sonata, Xanax and Rozerem.

5) I weigh 17 lbs but it’s mostly muscle. No, really I'm not fat. Layla tries to monitor what I eat but I scream if my food bowl is empty.

6) My vocal chords are unusually developed and I make good use of them 24/7.

7) I am the master of my domain and neighboring properties extending to several acres.

8) I have a mostly live and let live policy to the abundant wildlife; deer, raccoons, opossums, groundhogs and skunks.

9) This policy does not extend to mice, moles and chipmunks.

10) I still don’t understand why Layla screamed when I left her a headless mouse on her pillow.
