When we meet
What will we do?
Will we stand
Half fearful?
Will pre-conceptions
Tumble into place?
Will we on impulse
Reach out and embrace?
No no, none of that
Not like that for us
We'll look into our eyes
And laugh with total joy.
So that in heaven
The angels will know
That two of theirs had met
With laughter in their souls.

Carol. I'm glad you liked it. Just wanted to show that believers are not only solemn
and retiring. They can laugh with gay abandon.
Thank you Dawn, for your visit and your agreement.
Hi Shona. I'm glad that you came along and enjoyed. Don't be a stranger.
Ah Ed I'm glad that you saw so much. Yes in the marrow of the bone.
Bluey...where have you been??? I'm glad that you liked the poem. Welcome back.
I enjoyed this poem, but the third line in the third stanza seemed somehow out of place as if it was redundant.
A gentleness Bill. One could've anticipated an impetuous run forward and a wild passionate hug.
There are times when such iunbridled manefestations aren't enough...when the sublimeness of the meeting is uppermost and the passion comes later...when love at another level has been acknowledged.
Thank you Bill for your thoughtful comment...once again.
Ah the moon. The moon is the reward for all those that are set alight by the flames of the sun.
I never thought that there was no moon for you. There is. After all these two will be given their moon by the angels who loved their laughter. The sun is the fire and the moon is consummation.
