Miss Scarlett and Colonel Mustard in the Library with Babaloo - TWC - Silver Sleigh

Miss Scarlett and Colonel Mustard were in the library. Babaloo, a Johnny come lately, joined them for an aperitif and a nightcap.

Let's see if you can help solve the crime.

Professor Plum has been murdered.

The clues are:
Miss Scarlett saw Mrs. White with the candlestick, Colonel Mustard saw Professor Plum in the Living Room with Mrs. White holding the candlestick.

Miss Scarlett saw Babaloo bring in a large treasure chest to the library.

Babaloo proceeded to unload the treasure chest. Out popped Elvis, Buddy Holly, James Dean, Jimmy Dean Sausage Co., Colonel Sanders, Madonna, and Orson Welles.

 Elvis grabbed a nightcap or three.

James Dean rushed for the car keys and fled out the door.

Jimmy Dean Sausage Co. sauntered into the kitchen. Colonel Sanders followed Jimmy Dean.

 At the bottom of the treasure chest was a large object, covered in tissue paper. Orson Welles removed the tissue paper and said: "Rose Bud, you've been gone so long, I barely recognize you."

Miss Scarlett and Colonel Mustard left the dead Professor Plum in the Living Room, with the candlestick broken over Plum's fractured skull. Mrs. White jumped out the fourth-floor window.

Elvis, Madonna and Buddy Holly began to sing, "Are you Lonesome Tonight", Babaloo made nightcaps for all, and Miss Scarlett cooed into Colonel Mustard's arms long into the night.

Orson Welles continued to fall more deeply in love with his new Rose Bud, the Silver Sleigh.

Extremely clever Kathryn! I found it hard to concentrate on the mystery for I was laughing so hard. Let me guess, it wasn't Colonel Mustard for he isn't a 'citizen'. I think the candlestick was planted and rosebud was the actual 'slayer'. Who uses a cane? Well Colonel Mustard so I guess it was him after all. How's that for overanalysis? I can't wait to see all the takes on this!

Thanks Amanda....Rosebud was the first thing I thought of when I saw the TWC Silver Sleigh. How's that for weird? I haven't played this in years, but it is my daughter's favorite game.

Love your take - it will be interesting1 to see what people come up with.

I am guessing you are not on anything very strong (and please understand, I am not trying to start a war of the worlds) but let me just say. I have heard that strange dreams are sometimes brought on by odd foods at dinner time. Sausage and KFC extra crispy might do it, especially if listening to Bye-Bye American Pie and Ricky Ricardo Live at the Copa. A few helpings of that, and even Miss Scarlett might declare, "Hold the mustard, I will never be hungry again."

Ohhh, tooo clever by far! LOL Obviously the culprit was the Geico caveman. A candlestick? So simple even a caveman could do it!

Truth is, I DON"T need ANYTHING to think like that. I'm just born strange!

Well, I think Mrs. White smacked Professsor Plum over the head with the candlestick. Madonna isn't mentioned much so I figure Mrs, White, who has a thing for Professor Plum, saw Madonna trying to put a hit on Professor Plum, got jealous that her man was cheating on her and cracked him over the head. Then Madonna told her she was married and had a whole bunch of adopted kids from Africa and she was just trying to get a donation. So Mrs White couldn't live with what she did and jumped out the window and killed herself.

Sorry, after Babaloo unloaded the treasure chest, I felt like I fell down the rabbit hole and went through the looking glass all at the same time... You may not have had any strange dreams, but I feel I'm gonna have some tonight.

Kimberly, you will LOOOOOOOOVe clue. I had to check a couple of facts with Wikipedia. It started in the UK in about 1948 and then came to North America.

I would like to have seen the performance the three gave of "Are you Lonesome Tonight." With Elvis girating in his inimitable way, Madonna grinding in her (done to death) way I should think Buddy might well have felt lonesome. He probably just gripped the night stand, focused on his vibrato, and crooned matchlessly to keep the music alive.
Other questions: (1) Did Colonel Mustard and Colonel Sanders ever meet at the officers club? (I know the former was probably in the Brit Army the latter in the Confed., still, consider the genre here) (2) I would place Miss Scarlett from Georgia, Elvis from TN, Buddy from TX, KFC from where else?, so Miss Kathryn, are you just a tiny partial to the South? Answer descreetly; Orson indicated to me that Big Brother is watching.
