Hello to all,
Any gather folks in St. Louis tried one yet? Living in any other of the great cities, towns, hamlets and burgs, have you tried an Urban Hike? In both cases, why not?
This jaunt will take us to the industrial area of St. Louis right up next to the Mighty Mississip. You know that really big moving muddy brown water that you drive over to get to Illinois. There you will find the Graffiti Wall. I'm not sure exactly how far it stretches, but it is long. This very tall concrete wall is a venue for the best, brightest and zaniest graffiti artists. Not just from St. Louis either.
Colorful, funky, provocative, crazy, insightful, inspirational and disturbing images you can see for free. Bring a lunch, something to drink and your camera. Picnic on an industrial dock overlooking lines of empty barges, seagulls and the watch tug boats ply the current.
Below is a photo essay of what you can see. The art mutates as new work covers old.
Namaste, Wayne
