A friend was Shot in local fight.

This past friday night a "fight" broke out between a young man I know who was with his uncle against some other man at a local restaurant.

When the other guy said he wanted to fight the uncle of this young man I know said lets go.  Little did my friends son know that this man wasn't going to use his fist to fight.  He went over to his truck pulled out a gun and shot my friend and his uncle.

My friend was shot in the head, hit him in the backside of his head and came out through the temple.  Its a miracle that it didn't kill him and he's alive.  He's at a local hospital in town trying to recover from this.  I'm not sure how long he will be there so if you remember please keep him in your prayers.  I believe God was watching out for him.  We're not sure how much damage is done still but we're praying for the best recovery.

His uncle was shot in the arm.  He is in better condition than my friend.  I just wish he would have kept his big mouth shut and walked away from the situation. 

The shooter is still on the loose.  They don't know who he is but are still on the look out for him.  I'm praying they find him so he can be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law cause he deserves it.

I was never a person who worried about my safety when I went bymyself or with friends and family. But with all the recent unprovoked violence I have read about or seen on the local and national news. I now make it a point to make sure of my surroundings and anyone who evades my personal space and those of my love one's. I wish your friend all the best.

You never know these days what will happen when someone is agitated. My brother in law was in a horrible car accident as a result of someone's road rage. I pray that your friend recovers quickly.

Juan ~ I never worry about going out by myself but my hubby is a worry wart. So he is constantly calling me and checking on me when I'm out and about by myself. Especially if its at night.

Sue ~ What a mess. People these days need to learn a little more patience and get over their "issues" which cause them to do stupid things like road rage. I hope your BIL is better now. Thank you for your prayers.

I am a man capable of defending myself physically, but now a days it seems every idiot carries a gun and now with the Supreme Court voting against gun curbing laws the country will be getting a whole lot more dangerous.

One just never knows today. An enjoyable evening out turns sour because of a mental case...and how many lives have been forced to change over one, single incident. Yet one more reason I so dislike guns. You just never know.

Thank you all for your prayers. Continue to pray not only for my friend and his uncle but that they will be able to find the man that did this to them. They know who he is but unfortunately the cops are unable to find his hiding spot. Argh!

Rob ~ I own a gun, I keep it in my house for protection against my ex who has told people once he gets out of the state pen (which he is out now but can't find me) that he would kill me for sure this time. Since his last 5 attempts were unsuccessful.
Angelica,
Prayers for your friend, his uncle and also for the shooter to be found and prosecuted. Also prayers for you, as this affects you too - you're his friend. I hope he's getting better.
