All winter long I've been so cold.
My feet nearly freeze since I got old.
I get bundled up and jump into bed.
But the sheets are so cold, it's something I dread.
My heating pad quit, so what can I do?
My sweet dear husband, how I miss you.
You were so good to not even fuss
When my cold feet were put on your very warm tush.
Since you died I've had to cut back
The amount of income has left a slack.
The thermostat's low since you've been gone.
And I'm so cold, and that seems wrong.

I'm sorry for your loss. It has to be so very hard. Hold your memories close to your heart and I hope that your feet grow warm and so do you. It's a huge change in your life, and things will be different and hurt for a long while - wish I could take at least some of it away for you.
Spring is for new beginnings, and warmth. With the new leaves and buds forming, the flowers starting to bloom, keep the hope of spring in your heart. Hold your memories close, and know you have friends here who care.
Hugs,
Marilyn
Here's a hint. Flannel sheets can help a lot. Also plunging your feet into hot water for a few minutes before going to bed. And remember to massage and love your feet. Poor dear feet that do such a great job carrying us through life and get so few thanks.
