Follow-up on Distant Healing Done For My Daughter

I will, I will! Your positive attitude is going to help things to change, Linda. I'm sure of that and yes, negative communication means she is hoping things do change, but has lots to get out first. I know of a case like that. The daughter had lots of negative things she needed to say about some serious abuse issues. This was true abuse, too, not brainwashing. The mother didn't mind hearing the first two or three things. But, after that, she expected it all to be fine and would hear no more about it. And, in my discussions with the mother, she actually laughed about the abuse! So, in this case, the mom wasn't really willing to deal with the problem so the relationship had not healed. But, at least the daughter got some of the venom out of the wound and I can see a change in her life. Your daughter will probably need several drainings of her emotional infection, but then, she'll be able to start feeling the love. I can't wait for it to be that way for you! How wonderful!

That's a very encouraging message, Jessie... thank you for that. I hope she will email again - I will just have to wait and see.

Ifeel very strongly that this is definately just the beginning between you and your daughter! She has reached out..even if negatively at this point. That is a good sign. Believe me, children will always someday usually want their "real" parent in their life. I will pray for you and send my energy to your daughter.....it is done.

Jessie, you inspired me to write to her again, this time leaving out any of the heavy stuff from the past. Here's what I wrote to her:

The past is gone. None of us can go back and live life in a different way. We can only start from where we are.

Be happy today. Let go the baggage from the past, and let yourself live in the freedom of knowing that you are a beautiful person, sweet on the inside and wonderful in all ways.

What do you want from me? An apology for that which I didn't know, and that which I didn't do?

We all have shortcomings. You have many of your own and I hope you know that we are all forgiven by Universal Spirit as soon as we ask for that forgiveness. I do not need your forgiveness.

I have asked Archangel Raphael to heal you spiritually, so you can live in love and light. I am sure it will be so.

It doesn't matter what made the difference. All that matters is that something helped.

Yes; she got out of the Navy about six months ago and so I think now she's finally got enough time on her hands that she's working through things that she tried to ignore before. So who knows what made the difference? My oldest son phoned this morning and said she wrote to him for the first time in fifteen years about a week ago, and he told her that if she didn't contact me now she'd regret it eventually. I hope she can work through some of her negativity and become a happier person. Why go through life with so much unhappiness about the past?

Daughters always come home to their mothers, regardless of the amount of time that has seperated them.Your daughter is coming ,I dont think that ,I know it ,she has scars that only you can heal ,she is just telling you in advance she is coming.Wonderful Wonderful days ahead,my healing prayer is for both of you.

Linda, some people evolve at different times and she probably realizes after talking to her brother that she will regret things unless she starts some form of communication with you. Even if it's angry - you know, when we're young we have that sense of entitlement and everyone is suppose to do for us - well, soon one learns it's a give and take world. She's coming around. It won't be long. Have patience and know that I am sending as I type positive energy and healing light your way. Keep us posted. Salud.

Thank you Mariana, I appreciate your good thoughts and positive energy. This has been emotional torture to me for many years, though in recent years I've stopped feeling the pain. I look forward to the day I can see my daughter be happy again.

Linda, as the daughter of a mother who walked out on five children, I have had to go through my share of anger, hurt, pain, and finally acceptance, but I did it, and I have a relationship with my mother now. That's not to say we worked through all of the things that kept me from her for years, but we dealt with those things that would haunt me if we did not address them, and the rest is the past.
Your daughter will work through her anger and pain, and unless she is totally unfeeling, she will reach out to you and attempt to build a relationship that is acceptable to her for the future.
I hope she continues the contact, and you will both begin to heal soon.

I really had no idea that you were going through this with one of your girls--this must be so difficult for you. (((hugs))) I hope you are able to one day find your way back to each other. I will be keeping both of you in my thoughts.

Gisele, thanks! I don't know why I've never mentioned it to you. She has been out of my life for so long. I hope that will change. I'm sure if she were able to work through this, it would produce a good effect on the rest of her life. I want her to be able to be happy and have good relationships.

Your pain about the lost years and estranged reationship with your children is palpable. I am sorry you have had to endure this for so long. My daughter is 34 years old, and I raised her alone since she was two years old. It wasn't easy, her father visited her very sporadicaly and refused to pay child support. We had to go on welfare and live a very different life than the one we were living; her father was a well paid professional and had family money to fall back on. I was only 24 myself with only a few college credits, but I managed to get a college degree, get off wefare and build a succcessful career to improve our standard of living greatly. My daughter is now an attorney, working to enhance the lives of abused and neglected children, with whom she can empathize. As difficult as those years may have been, I would go back and live them again as long as my daughter was with me. I don't know how I would have managed if someone took her away from me when she was a child; you must have felt like a piece of your heart was torn away. I can only suggest that you let your children know how much you wanted to be with them all those years and why you weren't, tell them you are there for them now, and welcome whenever and however they want to communicate with you. And remember, the mending process can take time. They were children when they left, who knows what those children were told over the years, and it may be the child within them that is responding to your approaches. I wish you all the best in renewing your relationship with your children and many happy years with them.

Hi Denise, thanks for your heartfelt comment. I'm glad to hear your daughter is doing so well now. It was terrible to be separated from them when they were younger; now I'm more concerned about my second daughter's mental well-being and how our non-relationship affects how she gets along with others in her present life. I guess I went through so much pain for so many years, most of it is burnt out of me by now.
