Ok, so it is long-since Monday and I have posted squat this week. Funny enough, this led to no noticeable decline in quality from last week's post, but rather quite an improvement. I will now ruin that, too.
My entry this week is in the Gather Travel Essentials photo contest, so I apologize to those who were expecting an article (and apologize even more deeply to those who accidentally went into my archives and got one.)
The photo, which may be found here, is one of those photographs that transports me back to a time and a place in a way that I find mesmerizing. I took this picture very early on a September morning in Tasmania, on one of the best trips I have ever taken in my life. Not that anybody can tell, but that rock is huge (look carefully at the size of trees, and then you can truly see how big that wall of fog is.)
As I intend to try to post something or another every week, I may start dredging out the photo albums and doing a few photo essays in the near future. In the mean time, thanks for your patience and a special thank you to my loyal readers. You are clearly out of your minds but don't worry, nobody around here will notice.
In the mean time, those who want to put this photo in context should know that I took it about four hours before the Vegemite experience infamously chronicled in an article of mine from quite a long time ago. For those who have not read it...
