Constitutional Separation of "God/religion/church" and State... in which state?
After reviewing acknowledgments of God from all 50 state constitutions, one is faced with the prospect that maybe, the ACLU and the out-of-control federal courts are wrong!

Good article
I am not a Jew, but I am a Zionist - meaning I believe that the Jews and others of the 12 tribes of Israel have a right to and will gather again in the land of Israel... As a Christian it is hard not to believe, our own bible scriptures talk of the return.
ACLU is indeed an organization that is bent on it's own purposes, not defending those in need, not really.
Amazing how much hatred springs out of some people who claim to be filled with the love of Jesus...
Please explain to me how acknowledging God is hateful.
The U.S. has acknowledged the existence of God in several ways (Declaration of Independence, currency to name a couple of examples). The U.S. does not force anybody to believe or disbelieve. The constitution permits us to practice religion in our own way.
Treating another person as though they are somehow less than human because you disagree with them is what I was referring to.
I will respond, you say you were talking to me...
I spouted no hate... and yet you say I am hateful. Can I not dislike the ACLU and you like it without either of us being evil? What happened to friendly discourse?
I think the ACLU (that was founded by avowed Communists) is an organization thats propaganda makes it seem like the savior for the underdog... but so did Hitler in his day... Not to mention Stalin and a few others... Hugo Chavez anyone???
It is a political group/engine etc and it tends to attack religion most any chance it gets yes even siding with one religion against another... thus bringing them both down...
I did not comment on the negative of T.J's commentary... I agree his viperous and discriminatory wording helps no-one... I think the only word he used correctly about the ACLU is it is communist, and it is to the extent it follows the founders viewpoints...
Mitch, your right that was not called for.
I called him on it but my first focus was his blatant anti-antisemitism... but as I mentioned above, his was not a helpful educational comment except where it gave us insight to his personal demons.
Thank you all for your comments...
When I posted this list, I was mostly thinking of the Judge who tried to get the ten commandments to be in a public place...
The ACLU is none of those. It is one of the most patriotic organizations in this country, and it is dedicated, fist, last, and always, to preserving and protecting our rights as American citizens against improper obstruction or limitation by our government.
To do this and be true to the principles clearly elucidated in the Constitution, the ACLU must at times take up causes the membership and the organization find repulsive and abhorrent. Further, as much as you dislike and revile the ACLU, if the day were to come when YOUR right to worship as you wish were to be infringed upon by a government that disapproved of your faith and sought to forbid it, the ACLU would be there for you.
I am Pagan. I am a card-carrying member of the ACLU. If it was your voice that was being silenced and your faith that was being forbidden, even though I might disagree completely with everything you have ever said, I will still support your right to say it, with my money, my words, and my actions.
I am open minded about judging others, but for my personal actions, I decide before the temptation strikes my response, I am not open to choosing what I deem to be an evil act, at least not intentionally, I am human so I do err from time to time. Thus the reason I have already decided to repent when ever I realize a personal mistake esp if it is also a SIN.
SO I agree, be open minded when having discussions of substance, but that does not mean have no standards by which to judge new material you are presented with.
