2007 Iditarod Gets Official Start
At 1:45 PM AST (that’s 5:45 EST), the official start of the 2007 Iditarod will get underway in Willow. The temperature is expected to be around 16 degrees with a low tonight of 1 degree. However there is a strong wind advisory in effect for tonight through Monday evening causing wind chills in the -25 range. The first day of racing will throw challenges at the teams from the weather. This is what Yukon racing is all about and the mushers and dogs are up to the challenge.
