A CIRCLE OF DREAMS is an excellent story of a family coming together in the face of adversity. Annie Rogers has created characters that really stay with you. The Demontagne family pulls you in. You can feel Jamie's frustrations in dealing with twin preteen daughters, the distance from her husband, and Philippe's mysterious ailment. The secondary characters are alive and vibrant. The descriptions of St. Lucia make it feel like you're right there on the island. The island magic and talk of spirits adds a wonderful spice to the story. Throughout the book you are left in suspense, wondering if Philippe will be cured and if Jamie and Andre will make their marriage last.
In the end all of this makes for one great book. A CIRCLE OF DREAMS is a book everyone should read. If you haven't read the first book, A Dream Across Time, you should read that one as well. A CIRCLE OF DREAMS earns another 5 blue ribbons for Annie Rogers.
