Jim- Thanks! I appreciate you telling me about Haiga. I do recall reading an article Ed wrote about that style, but I had forgotten. Yes, I am interested in the Haiga group:)

I am surprized at my success, and that everyone liked it so well! I didn't know, for sure, if I could hold true to the form, and write proper haiku.

Ahhh ... Beautiful haiku, Virginia! I love the reference to Noah's flood... in the twigs in the bird's mouth and mountains rising from the water in joy of being released from the hold of the deluge...
