I love that second line..*Torn water beneath the sky*
There's moyion in the words to match the mood of the picture.
Beautiful, as always. TEN!
thank you Tonia. i like the sense of motion too. i like the weightlessness and trying to understand how he can keep that board under him...
thank you Lawrence and Robb for taking the time to look and comment.
thank you Larua - i like the spirit in the photo.
thank you Minnie - a lot of surfer slang spins around tearing up water and ripping water. i think from this image you can see where that terminology originates. i like the relationship you draw between the motion in the words and the mood of the image. (i slip up on words all the time - no problem, i understood what you meant just fine.)

thank you Anne i'm glad it reaches you this way.
Jan - it is amazing out there. i've used boogie boards and body surfed. the pressure of a surf board on a bad knee would take a toll on me very quickly. it is awesome to swoop down on the face of a wave no matter how you do it. it can take the control away from you in an instant, you have to be very focused. i've been rolled on the bottom long enough to know it's up to the wave what happens and it's up to me to hang on, relax and wait for my opportunity if it is offered. it's still worth it to go back out even after that tho.
oh. thank you Kyra. it is such a treat when something brings a person back. i appreciate that very much.
Photo and haiku are dynamic! "Torn water beneath the sky" just jumped out at me.
Barbary, thank you. i think the image coupled with that line works really well too. cool. i'm glad it connects for you that way. it is such a non-stop moving world.
i just sent the url to you for my 360 site where there is another version of this photo in the blog there.
