Can We Talk About This? Al Qaeda

Well, it appears that several articles have mentioned Al Qaeda according to google news bot.

It's a little bit unusual to see 10 different articles pop up on the filter report.

I, for some reason, doubt that the American public as exemplified by the current crop of democrats in control of the House of Representatives has the cojones to go after Al Qaeda.

I would love to be incorrect, but right now, it seems that the anti-victory wing of the democratic party is at the controls of the levers of power.

That may change, maybe the rhetoric will shift.

Supposedly, some Imams in Iraq are speaking out against Al Qaeda. At least one Mosque had a VBIED (Vehicle Borne Improvised Explosive Device) detonated outside it's walls as afternoon prayers were letting out.

Why this commander-in-chief didn't stay in Afghanistan and finish the job is beyond me. Going into Iraq was clearly a mistake and does nothing to fight the war on terror. We've created more terrorists by being in Iraq.

The Republican AWOL in Chief abandoned the fight against Al Quedq in order to pursue his war of choice in Iraq.

It was a strategic blunder of historic proportions. The dim-witted liar still will not admit the folly of this ill-conceived, ill-planned, badly executed act of aggression.

I wonder if Osama is even alive anymore, He never is on the videos that are released. If Pakistan would let Nato go into some of these tribes, maybe, they could flush out these terrorists. I understand the President of Pakistan has had several attempts made on his life, but if they could just get in there and get these nuts, maybe Pakistan would be free of the taliban and Bin Laden.

Why do the right want to put down the Democrats...saying they don't have the balls to go after Al Qaeda? I believe the Democrats supported the Afghanistan invasion, and some supported Iraq...which was not an Al Qaeda base of operations. Sure..Al Qaeda is now in Iraq..because we are! Bush has been the biggest enabler to the Al Qaeda!! They love him! He continues to destabalize our nation, and our nation's world relations, and our economy! The best way to fight Al Qaeda is to eliminate why they want to attack us, and surgically attack them back as needed. Being bogged down in a needless war is a boon to every terrorist on the globe! Bush has been the biggest spokeperson for the Al Qaeda!! Our government let us down big time, by letting terrorists infiltrate our country through legal immigration!!!!

p.s. What anti victory wing? There is no way to win a victory in Iraq..period! Unless we kill all who reside there, and close their borders! Anyone who thinks we can win there is delusional...what would be considered victory? I say we already won!..So let's scram, now!

As it stands, the right hasn't gone after Al Qaeda. Maybe, it's time for the Democratic Party to rule. We certainly are getting nowhere with the Republicans.

OK, I suppose the Israeli's trying to secure overflight rights from the US for attacks on Iran, is nothing to be concerned about.

An assesment by Mossad says that Iran could have enough fissile material for one nuke by 2009.

Part of what concerns me is that people here are thinking of this as Iraq's war, and Afghanistan's war. Potentially Iran's war. Sudan's war. Israel's war. People are not thinking in terms of a regional war. Heck, let's also throw in potentially Pakistan's war.

Will the US stand idly by as Tehran prepares to test detonate a Nuke over Israel?

How does everyone feel about Pakistan's test of a new nuclear capable missle?

Could you elaborate on why they want to attack us? And, as is well know, when they seek refuge in the border provinces of Pakistan, why aren't we "surgically attacking" them there?
