Just couldn't resist posting a few more photos of the incredible ice mountains formed last Thursday and Friday due to the blizzard on Lake Superior's North Shore. My hubby, Bill Christ, was in charge of the camera for these shots. There's just so much cold my hands can tolerate. I have Reynauds syndrome and Dupytrins contracture in both hands. This Wednesday, I'm having surgery on my right hand and will be even more reliant on Bill than ever, though I don't expect him to write my articles.

Don't even think about walking through this arch!

The 3/4 mile hike through the snow pooped our old dog. She doesn't have snowshoes.

Another view of the shoreline and this particular mountain ... 3/4 mile west of our home near Taconite Harbor. Gives you an idea of dimensions.

Good luck with the surgery; I hope everything goes well and that you are back online comfortably very soon!
I've appreciated your sharing every bit of your success as a writer, inspiration!
The picture of your dog reclining is divine.
You can't see, but I'm smiling at the expectation of your hands being lifted from their constant stress. Like the tactile equivalent of cataract surgery maybe?
Somethings we never expect to become experts in.
Quiet thoughts of you, Bill and that big ol' dog of yours...
makes me rethink this whole "Global Warming" myth.
My hand is recuperating marvelously. I can even type, though several fingers do not function too well yet. Having the cast removed helps tremendously. Thanks for asking. And thank you everyone for the positive healing thoughts you've sent my way.
Carla, I haven't used Reiki. Is this part of bio-feedback? I am not as knowledgeable with regard to some holistic methods.
Oh, reike isn't bio feedback but more of a spiritual healing process. The other is purely of the intellect. My best to you and may you recuperate soon.
Hope the operation brings relief for your hands.
Biofeedback is more mental. It's learning to use your mind to control your body, such as focusing on getting your blood to flow into your extremities to make them warmer. There are doctors that provide training in this and have the equipment to help you master it.
Sending you healing thoughts...
Winter ends at 5:30 pm today; the equinox.
And DAG! these ice mountains....... smacks of angels and aliens, eh?
