My son, Rylan, will be 7 months old in 5 days and he's right at that point where he's able to sit up as long as he's got a little support. He's also right at that point where he needs to be with Mommy at all times, or Mommy can't get anything done!
So, in order for me to get the laundry folded, I stuck him in the laundry basket, then put his Boppy around him to hold him up and voilà! Instant good times for baby AND Mommy.
Rylan sat there, all happy, the entire time I folded the laundry and it was the 1st time since he was born that I had been able to complete a chore from start to finish!
Baby + Laundry Basket + Boppy + Mommy Taking Pictures = SUPER CUTE !!!

For more information on the coolest pillow ever created for moms and babies, please check out Boppy's website at http://www.boppy.com.
Don't worry. No Laundry Baskets or Boppy's were harmed in the making of this article, and all stunts and tricks were performed under strict (that's me!) adult supervision.

There's something about baskets and boxes that are irresistable to kids.
I can tell he's quite a ham. Gideon is too, but he also thinks it's funny to run as the flash goes off, or to smile and squint his eyes for EVERY picture... unless I fib that I'm n ot taking a photo and catch him being normal.
Haha I can imagine you hiding in a box, I can't say I'm looking forward to that stage with Gideon.
It's a tough feat to keep up with everything going on with everyone on here, but you can only try your best, right?
Gosh, I don't have any set routine on here. It all is reliant on other commitments I have to do. (Ie: PTR mails, if there's a chapter due for my online series, what's going on with my family life and so on. I usually just Gather when I'm doing other things online and do what I can with the alotted time.
Gideon is a fun boy, and thankfully I don't have a heart condition - yet. ;-)
Hubby rolled his eyes at me and asked if it was a conspiracy....
Have you tried a Bumbo yet? My 4 month old is able to sit completely unassisted in the Bumbo.
Shawnee T: Thanks! Oh my gosh... that is SO funny. I guess you guys are going to have to get one of those fandangled Boppy's, huh? I love it that he asked if it was a conspiracy. You make sure you let him know that I was talking about it too, ok?
Well now I can say for sure that Rylan and my son Joseph are the two cutest little boys in the world. At least from Geneva, OH to Salem,OR anyway!!!
(LOL STILL LAUGHING)
Connie C: Hi there... thanks tons, you're sweet. I wanted to hold him too, but there's only so much holding you can do sometimes, ya know? Most of my postings here on Gather are in the wee hours of the morning, because then his CRIB is "holding" him while he's asleep, hahaha. The only time I can really have some me time.
David: Uh oh... got a little attitude comin' along, huh? I remember those days with my 2 older kids and to be honest with you, I don't miss them. Good luck! Thanks for the nice compliments on my boy, by the way/
Thanks to you too, Jennifer G. I appreciate you stopping by and checking out my article and pictures of Rylan.
great solution for getting your laundry done.
THANKS, Faith S: You are very sweet too. Shoot, as a mother, you sometimes just have to figure something out to get anything done... even if it is something as weird as putting them in the laundry basket.
Lisa M99: Your story is really cute and like I said - sometimes we just have to do really strange things as moms to get anything done around the house. Honestly, I used to have to do the same thing when I lived in an apartment complex and had to do laundry in the laundry room. What else can you do? It's not like you can take 2 separate trips because either way, you're leaving the laundry alone in the laundry room for people to steal, or you're leaving the baby alone in the house and you can't do either one of those things!
that is the greatest idea ever. And he's just adorable. I love my pillow like that.
But I never thought to use it like that.
