Why We Don't Deserve John Murtha

I was going to leave the attack on John Murtha to others until I read yet another attack on President Bush.

I am tired of sanctimonious liberals pointing out all the problems with the right yet allowing their own guys to sell us out to the Arabs.  Clearly it is only wrong when the right does it.

I disagree.  There is plenty of corruption to go around so let's see a democrat or liberal step up to the plate and admit that Murtha is a sleazy and corrupt politician who should have been dumped from the party long ago.  But this article sets out the problem far better than I can:

Sleazy? Corrupt? Politician? Aren't they synonimous? And why is John Murtha a politician? I thought he was an actor that went up against Godzilla in one of those low budget Japanese horror films. Oh...that was Mothra...nevermind!

John Murtha gives me the creeps every time I see him on the news. I guess it is because of his way of speaking and truly see through BS that he portrays. That was a great article Nanci. Thank you for this article.

I would agree Carol right up to the point where he decide to insinuate himself into the leadership and then it became an issue for all of us. Just like the chairmanship Alcee Hastings expected was everyone's business. One district, one vote. But leaders have too much power.

And all of those people are gone. When a republican screws up, he or she is out of office and it's over.

When a democrat screws up they stay in office till they die of old age.

Too bad your bunch can't get rid of painintheasses like bush, it's still up to the electorate.
That's the way the presidency was crated, to keep the assholes in congress in line.
Maybe Murtha will lose the ability to serve ...

If Rove had been the one to leak that story, you would be right and he would be under indictment right now. The only leaking that happened came from Armitage and Fitzgerald knew that before his protracted witch hunt. I think both of them are right where they belong.
