Last night, when I went to bed, it was Feb. 18, 2007. This morning, I'm almost to believe I overslept just a wee bit too long, or, I got up on the Twilight Zone side of the bed. My reasoning for this is, when I checked my email, out of curiosity, I always check some of the junk mail as well. I don't open them, I just like to see what attention getting subjects have been used to prod people into opening their junk.
To my surprize, I found out I am a Yahoo winner! Also, it was my FORTH NOTICE! How inconsiderate of me, not to at least check this out more, afterall, they've tried so hard to make me aware I won. Here is the notice I got; "4th Notice You're a YAHOO winner! Mon Jan 18, 2038" You can see, it would only be fair for me to straighten any mis-understandings out, if they got something like a little date wrong. Can't you?
Okay, so I weakened a bit, this time, to see just where this was coming from. I opened it, but I was not disappointed in what I really expected. When it opened, there was a place to click on another link, to take me somewhere else. Well, I didn't follow the link. I was afraid- very, very afraid. Afterall, I still knew I might actually be in the Outer Limits, and if I clicked my phaser...errr, I mean mouse, I could land somewhere in Cyber Space in all kinds of mishap. Seeing an address that contained the word, "Jamacia" was enough for me. I was reassured by this. So, perhaps I did get up on the right side of my bed. I might still be on Earth! With that thought in mind, I even hoped that when I checked the calendar, all would be clarified. Maybe, I thought, I'd find they had been a bit anxious and put the wrong date. That is such considerate determination, to make sure all those prizes are claimed.
As for me, though, I think I'll pass on mine. The morning 'ordeal' was just too much for me!
