I lived in St Johns Newfoundland for 2 years. I thought it was a very beautiful place. Unfortunately I never did get all the pictures that I would like to have gotten. And it seems that some that I did get ,I misplaced. Thankfully a lot of other people take absolutely beautiful and breathe -taking photos for us to enjoy! The photographs that I have included above were sent to my by a friend. I however also want to point you to one of my favorite websites. It is called Bit stop. It called be found at http://bitstop.ca/ I have chosen to download their screen saver .I get to view new photos as they are available. . There are a lot of different links on this website and they seem to take photos from all over . I am noting these Links as some that I think are not to be missed.Evertime I go to this site I just keep thinking oooh, I wish I had been able to get such wonderful photos.

Thanks for these shots
Seeing these brought back long hidden memories for me. My mother was a Newfie (born in Newfoundland), my grandfather, Jake Barrett, was a sailor/fisherman who was a minor folk hero (even had a folk song written about him).
In the last week I have been going through old family photo albums left to me. I found pictures of that area from the 20s through the 70s. For example, a picture of me being bathed in a huge sink in front of a window that looked out over the ocean.
Great to see your photos. Thanks.
Namaste, Wayne
