"No Time...?"

Hello My Fellow Creatives! 

“I don’t have time to write, draw, sculpt, photograph…anything!”  How many of us say that to ourselves? If you’re like me, you say it too much. After a while (again if you’re like me) you start believing the hype – convinced that it’s true.  If we’re not careful, it becomes the truth. And that’s sad. 

 

 

The world is nothing without the beauty of creativity. There is nothing more important than the colors, words, the tangible intangibles that make up the heart, soul and spirit of the creative parts of ourselves. For these are our gifts and they are ours to share.

 

  

You are one of the fortunate because you have found your gift. Now is the time to share it.  Even if you start with just a few minutes a day – it’s important just to begin.

 

 

Open your mind like the gift it is and let your ideas and thoughts spill forth. The world awaits.

Nice boost to start the snow day (late)!

By the way, with the idea of never having enough time, I actually wrote a story called "No Time" recently. Of course, as I wrote and the characters took over, the meaning became "no time" as in "we'll be there in no time."

Glad you liked this-I can get lazy at times. I suspected that others do also-well maybe not lazy-just overwhelmed by everythinng else to the exclusion of our creative endeavors...

Very well said, I agree and try and do something every day. Believe me I get super busy, babysitting grandkids 2 little ones, plus homeschooling three others. daily household chores of cleaning, meals, laundry. Shopping once a week, church weekly, time for family, sleep and much more. But I make time daily to read, write and get on the net. Plus I sell on ebay and overstock. So I know what you mean but making a few minutes here and there is important. I do it when I take a break between chores and homeschooling. Five minutes here, three there, etc. Like now I just finished folding laundry and feeding kids. I will be going in to bake a cake for hubby's birthday tomorrow in a few minutes but taking a break for a bit.

Words of wisdom, definitely! And worth repeating to ourselves and others whenever we put off the BIG things, like creating something, in favor of all those pesky smaller things. They will be back again and again day after day. But maybe your BIG IDEA has paid its only visit.
