President Bush Might Be High

President Bush just held a news conference, carried live on ABC.  His message was nothing new.  We have to keep up the funding for the Iraq war.  North Korea has weapons of mass destruction.  Iran has weapons of mass destruction.  He cares about the troops and especially about the family members here in the states worrying about their loved ones.  No surprises there.  But what was surprising was his relatively relaxed manner and his jocularity with the press.  I got the impression he might have had a few tokes or maybe a nice big snort before going in front of the microphones.  Maybe he's channeling Ronald Reagan.

I think he's done enough drugs in the past to ALWAYS have that manner about him. Like he couldn't sober up if he tried. He's a man I will never be able to take seriously.

I listened on NPR He did sound odd, but he really doesn't have to impress us anymore.

I sort of understand why he was having fun with the press this morning. There was a news story last evening about a breakthrough he and his cronies had yesterday with North Korea. No more nukes getting built in North Korea. So although it seems like barely anything is getting done about war and threats of war there IS a method to the presidents madness even wen he sounds like all the troubles in this world are one big video game to him.

I'm not sure Prozac would do the trick. I think you would need IV anti-depressants, not that they exist. I never listen to press conferences. Just a bunch of lies and PR spin on everything.

I will admit that when I heard there was going to be a press conference today and there was no initial word to the press regarding what it was going to be on, I was hoping he was going to resign and take Cheney along with him! Alas, more of the same.....
