As the rain falls from the sky today
Tears fall from some eyes
I see my neighbor's house alive
With people carrying plants and flowers
It means one thing: that she has died
As family and friends all mourn
She was white-haired and aged
With a bent-over back
I never knew her, shame on me
And now I never will.
Written as I look out my front window and see at least 10 cars in the cove across the street. I had seen her from a distance, coming and going, checking her mail, taking in groceries. But I never took the time to walk over and meet her. Though I do not know her, I ask you to think of and pray for her family during this time of grief.

I am sorry for your sadness.
This serves as a reminder to all of us, especially in the colder weather, to check on elderly neighbors and friends, Mary Beth. I would want the same if the roles were switched. I must change my ways today.
