If you'd told me two years ago that I would be producing a webcomic I would have laughed and thought you were crazy. If you had even said I would write the script to a comic in under a years time, I would still have thought you were strange. But nevertheless, a couple of years ago I started to write one. I didn't know how and my first attempts were laughable. (I hope you never read those) But I learned and kept at it and Dark Red is now starting to be out there.
The course of events that led here seems to have been one strange accident after another. It just worked out, whenever I needed something or someone to help they have appeared. Quite often it has been work of the hardest sort, then try and try again. But I believed, not in me, in it. Originally since I couldn't draw I wanted to get someone else to do the art. I even worked with a couple of comic artists, but it didn't work out. Dark Red was shelved for about six months.
Then due to several other accidents I discovered I could manipulate photographs so that they looked painted, almost comic like. It took me a couple of months to get the basics of paintshop down. I asked my friends if they wanted to be in a comic and overnight drummed up a cast. Six months after that I have a website, a comic, people that read it and a growing sense of oddness. How did I get here?
It was just an accident.
Since then I've read other people's comics, and have known the amount of work that goes into them. And I have realised that this is a labour of love. I haven't seen nearly enough webcomics because of work. (the down side) So I'm here to check out what other people are doing and share some of my stuff to.
