This is a contest I have on the air every night @ WAKO radio 103.1 fm (pardon the plug).

On the air the winner gets a pizza  but I thought we could have some fun here.

 

Basically I have 3 songs and you tell me what the 3 songs have in common.

 Ready?

 

1.  Black Magic Woman - Santana

2. Sentimental Lady - Bob Welch

3. Oh Well - Fleetwood Mac

Does it have anything to do w/ Peter Green? Welch was in Fleetwood Mac for a brief time. I think PG wrote Black Magic Woman, but I'm not sure. And I think Dave Mason has a Fleetwood Mac connection somewhere.

Am I getting warm?

Okay I'm gonna give this one to ya Frick! You went all the way around the answer but didn't quite state it. The answer is Fleetwood Mac.
Yes Peter Green wrote Black Magic Woman and Fleetwood Mac recorded it in 1969. Then Green left Fleetwood Mac and went to join Santana where the song actually became a hit. and yes Bob Welch and Dave Mason were all in Fleetwood Mac.

So, in a roundabout way you got it.
Yippee! I didn't know that PG joined Santana, though. You learn something new every day don't you?
