The Sun Didn't Shine

Morning dew I woke up from bed

I peak out the window to see the sun did not shine

my heart was feeling harmed i wanted to the beauty of my mornings

but the sun didn't shine I forget my mind at time knowing the weather as changed

for the better where tears flow from the rain but yet to see the beauty of the sun

coming out would be great to see I needed to pick up those days gone by at time

within me when I feel blew but I look at the window this morning no sun just the rain

coming on down but for now I sit in my chair rock little slow as I fast myself to sleep

once again

I can almost hear this as what we - in the old days - called a 'talking blues' rendition. Either that or possibly Beat style reading in a coffee house replete with shaded eyes, bongo-calloused fingers and more than a few Basque berets.
Very enjoyable.
