Seems like there was an article on this by someone a month ago. I cant remember what it was. Check with Kevin I am a member like you. He does questins and answers on sunday. Seems like he did question for this.

Hmmm, not too sure. I think my pictures look the same on Gather as they do on my computer... so I don't really have an answer for it. But, when you find this out - can you post the answer on here or email it to me? Thanks!

hopefully whoever knows this will answer in here. It must be the pictures that I am taking with my cell phone. Which aggervates me because I bought this cell to have a camerA that I could get the pictures off of right then.

Try resizing your pictures to 750x 500 pixels, with a 72 resolution, with whatever your editing program on your computer is. Its the range I use and I haven't had any trouble with the photos I post getting too pixelated to see.
You don't say how many mega-pixels your phone has, but you might also try going to the highest quality mp that it is capable of producing. Most cell phone don't have more than 2 mp. Hope it helps

Hi Shaunee, I have this article about publishing pictures to Gather printed and posted next to my computer. It is called "Photo Publishing Tips - Garbage In...Garbage Out" and it's by Jim Bostick. Here's the address:

One mistake I made as a new Gatherer was to try to upload thumbnail size photos. You have to actually open you photo, save it to your computer and then upload it. At least, that's how I, as a technologically phobic person, does it. A thumbnail picture will be very pixalated when viewed as a big picture on Gather.

Go check out Jim Bostick's entire site because I saw that he has several articles on this subject.

well thanks Carla I will try this out. I am not really sure how many mp's I have on my cell phone. I didn't buy it brand new.I bought it from a friend of mine but hopefully this will make my pictures look some what better.
