Rosie's comments yesterday on the View about Anna Nicole Smith

I don't love Rosie or hate her. I did see the show yesterday and as it happened I thought to myself she was saying just what I thought as I watch the Anna Nicole interview on TV the night before. She could hardly speak, and appeared to be so drugged up-something was really wrong with her. When I saw that she died, I remembered the Rosie comments and thought that she must feel horrible to have discussed Anna Nicole on that particular day. I do think that Rosie was hired to stir things up. The ratings are up-and they knew what they were getting when they hired her. The other day when Barbara Walters said that Paris Hilton was "sweet" Joy said that "dumb people often are." If Rosie said that-the press would be all over her. When Joy says it people laugh. I think this was a case of unfortunate timing-but, I think that the fact that she said there was just tragedy all around this woman, she was sick of hearing about the paternity suit and she appeared to be drugged-was just the truth.

I agree Anna Nicole seemed to be out of it, but since I am not medically qualified to make any judgement about her medical state I will kindly refrain from doing so.

As for Rosie, yes I agree she was hired to stir things up on the show.

But then there is a thing called being tactful, and thinking before you open your mouth to say things that hurt will and often do hurt people.

No...she isn't tactful at all.

Beacuse I feel it is not only impolite but extremely wrong to be so untactful, and think you are so beyond reproach that you can say anything without repercussions. Espically if you are in the public eye.

The words "think before you speak" need to be taped to her dressing room wall.

But then that is just my opinion.

I don't think that anyone is doubting that Anna Nicole Smith had issues with drugs/alcohol. Rosie is on a losing path these days. Her rant against Donald Trump was one thing but she has become too judgemental about other people. Do the people who watch The View think like that? I've noticed that even Barbara Walters can be a little tacky at times. Doesn't she realize that her star status requires some modicum of decorum? I don't know - I suppose I'm judging here as well. It just seems as if picking people's lives apart has become acceptable behavior. I seriously question this habit.

Personally, I can't stand Rosie as a person, but know she has talent for TV etc.
I kind of liked Anna after I caught a few of her old shows before, and then read a few things about her. I do think she struggled with some problems, and am sad she died so young. The music in that little tribute is what Elton John wrote for Marilyn Monroe.

I don't think it is acceptable for anyone to pick on anyone.
Regardless of the other person's life or life's issues, no matter what YOU may think or believe about them and their issues.

I think more people, those in the public eye espically do need to remember this.

I haven't heard Rosie's comments from the other day and don't care to. I don't like Rosie one bit and don't waste my time listening to her 'comical' drivel.

I would agree Dani, I wanted to see if Rosie-Idiot Moron said anything, that was the only reason I watched it. OMG what a stupid show this has become!

A lot of people really like controversial figures. They like drama and conflict and arguments. They thrive on it. That's my guess as to why she's so popular in the mainstream 'talk show' media.

I do not like Rosie at all. She is rude.

Rosie uses tactics similar to Bill Orally of Faux news...they both say useless drivel with nothing to back up their bull....but it pumps up their ratings because idiots tune into to see how they are going to put their foot in their mouth next....I never watch either of them..a friend told me what they say!~laugh~ Damn..my nose just grew another inch!

I don't care for Rosie at all. She has no tact and is frequently out of line with her comments. She obviously had horrible timing for what she said. She should do what other people do when they are watching tv and something is on that they don't like. Change the freaking channel! I was also getting tired of the exposure of her but because she was so out of it. I felt that it was just exploiting her. When I had enough I would simply change the channel. I didn't wish her away!

I took my dog for a "relief" walk and he relieved himself over a dead carcass (after smelling it intensely). Two days later we were back on the same trail. I noticed there were an uncountable number of flies all over the carcass and poop as well. I thought then to myself: "this is how ABC makes for its ratings: it dwells on dead or no defensive people, squirts sh**t all over it, and gets thousands of flies to step on it." That is how ABC'S ratings are still viable.
