The Jaws of the Great White Shark

Recently, a large shark has been spotted prowling La Perouse beach in Sydney, Australia; scaring swimmers and surf lovers in the sun-burnt country.

The shark has a “tendency to be aggressive”, according the Australian Newspaper report. And there is enough evidence to show that this shark has been taking animal’s life.

It has already eaten a dog and a pelican.

Last month, a diver was almost swallowed alive by a great white shark, which suddenly attacked Eric Nerhus, 41, who was working with his son and other divers off the fishing town of Eden, near Sydney.

"Half my body was in its mouth," Nerhus told Australian television's Nine Network.. He fought desperately to safe his life. And lived to tell the tale!

Scientists say there are an average of 15 shark attacks a year in Australian waters - one of the highest rates in the world; and on average, just over one per year are fatal.

Amazing I don't know why but sharks always fascinated me I love watch every movies of them and when I was young I wanted to be scientist who could know them well or make them picture in this special cage, but I suppose I wont be thinking this way if I relly met one of them in a water, we dont have here in Poland this kind of dangerouse animals but maybe it is good but I think sharks are not so dangerouse as many others things living in a water and in a lands as well, though they are very inspiring and if they are like water lions and we have to respect them and be very careful to not cross their way, very good article

yeah I wanted to be a marine biologist when I was little...I wanted to study seahorses...but then I discovered that you had to get past the sharks first...

That diver was really lucky! He poked the shark's eye and it let him go.

It's a good thing that there has been warning about this shark put out for the public. Could you imagine coming across this shark without a warning?

Frightening thing. Here in California a young girl's arm was bit off a few years ago. I remember hearing that she was a homeschooler - as I was homeschooling my children at the time. She went right back out and started surfing again, refusing to be afraid.
