ChangeIsland- the area and some of it's occupants

The pictures in this article are not my own. I wish I had been there to take them. I have visited Change Island once, but didn't take any pictures at the time. My friend Linda sent me these pictures that she took there. Linda grew up on this island and until recently made her home there She has given me permission to share these photos.

These are some amazing shots. #4 is particularly well composed with its many layers and textures. It is more than a photograph it is an entire story frozen in time. Absotutely Beautious!

I checked out the Change Island link, it has lots of good tourist information. I would go there but I enjoy the cold less with the years - its a joint thing. Thanks for a wonderful photo essay, please pass my appreciation on to Linda.

Thanks for sharing these pictures, Wendy. And thanks for including the link for more information about Change Island because I have never heard of it before. I wonder if it's difficult to live somewhere so remote? To see a seal in its natural environment may make the cold and inconvenience and loneliness worth it all.
